Working with Clear Blue, we created a mobile billboard sure to catch the eyes and tantalize the senses…not only did it expel real smoke, the truck also made a sizzling sound and was grill-scented!

One of my favorite summer programs we’ve worked on was this customized mobile truck for Char-
Broil, which was promoting their infrared cooking system. Working with Clear Blue, we created a
mobile billboard sure to catch the eyes and tantalize the senses…not only did it expel real smoke, the
truck also made a sizzling sound and was grill-scented!
Three of these unique vehicles traveled routes through Philadelphia, Dallas, Charlotte
and Indianapolis over a seven week period. While the primary focus was driving traffic
to Lowe’s and Home Depot stores where the grills were sold, stops were also scheduled
at special events like Taste of Addison, Taste of Charlotte and the Indy 500.
The trucks definitely got the public’s attention, leading people to engage with the
drivers. One person asked where he could buy a Char-Broil burger! The driver was
able to consult his route and direct him to the closest retailer where Char-Broil grills
were sold.
