I am an online news pioneer, digital media scholar and journalism educator, with more than 20 years journalism experience.
My new book, Tell Everyone: Why We Share and Why It Matters (DoubleDay Canada), examines how social media is shaping our notions of an informed and engaged public, a media ecology of competing ideas, and a responsive political establishment. The Globe and Mail described the book as “wonderfully clear eyed about contemporary culture,” commending its “lucid, energetic prose.”
