  2. 2. TAJ MAHAL Taj mahal is one of the seven wonders of the world. It was built by emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife . It is located at the bank of river Yamuna in Agra and it was completed in 1653 with the estimated cost of 32 million . It is also called the ‘’ Jewel of Muslim art in India .
  3. 3. KHAJURAHO Khajurahu is located in Madhya Pradesh and is a unique heritage site in India which is renowned for a group of Hindu and Jain temple situated 175 km south-east of Jhansi. They are known for their Nagara style symbolism and erotic figures and sculptures . It was built between 950 to 1050 CE .

HAMPI Hampi is located in the northern part of Karnataka it lies within the ruins of the ancient prosperous kingdom of vijaynagar and the ruins of hampi are the collection of heritage sites depicting the excellent Dravidian style of art and architecture it the most significant site in Virupaksha temple.

AJANTA CAVES Ajanta caves is famous for rock- cut Cave Monuments richly decorated paintings and frescoes similar to Sigiriya Paintings one of the first World heritage sites in India it date back to around 2nd century BCE to 650 CE and consist of the most beautiful masterpiece of 31 rock- cut .

ELLORA CAVES Ellora caves is famous for Buddhist , Jain and Hindu temples and monasteries, caves excavated out of hills ,rock cut architecture it is a famous world heritage site and an archaeological site , ranging 29 km northwest of the city of Aurangabad there are 34 rock cut and known for their Indian rock cut.
  7. 7. BODH GAYA Bodh Gaya is located almost 96 km away from Patna,Bihar its an important religious center for the Buddhists as this was the place where Mahatma Buddha attained enlightenment. The holy Bodhi tree is the site where Siddhartha gained knowledge and become Gautam Buddha and it is the holy pilgrimage spot for Buddhists.

SUN TEMPLE Sun temple is famous for chariot of the sun , Kalinga Architecture included in seven wonders of the world it is at Konark odisha and was built by king Narasimhadeva 1 of the eastern ganga dynasty in around AD 1250 and it is in the shape of a gigantic chariot with carved stone wheel , pillars and walls and is led by six horses
  9. 9. SANCHI Sanchi is famous for Monolithic Pillars, Temples and monasteries ,Mauryan Architecture , Ye Dharma hetu inscriptions and they are the oldest stone structures in India it is commissioned by emperor Ashoka in 3rd century BCE the Sanchi stupa is located 46 km north east of Bhopal
  10. 10. CHOLA TEMPLES Chola temples is famous for sculpture, paintings and bronze casting these temples were build in southern part of India during the rule of chola empire . The Brihadisavara temple , The temple at Gangaikonda Cholapuram and The Airavatesvara Temple are the most important temple

RANI KI VAV Rani ki vav was build in the 3rd millennium BC in the memory of the kings its an example of beautiful Ancient Indian architecture constructed during the of Solanki density , legends says that it was build in the honour and memory of Bheemdev 1ST the son of the founder of the family .
