Independent mobile analyticsfirm RootMetrics awards top spot to AT&T in
recent wireless network performance test
DAYTON, Ohio (Jan. 9, 2014) —A newly released report shows AT&T*wireless customers in Dayton, Ohioare
enjoying the highest ranked local network.An independent mobile research and testing organization today
gave AT&T’s overall wireless network top honors. Seattle-based RootMetrics® ranked AT&T highest for
combined/overall voice, data and text network performance in Dayton.
The RootMetrics®wireless network performance study for Dayton named AT&T as the overall RootMetrics
RootScore® Award winner for its combination of call, text and mobile Internet performance. The RootMetrics
award is based on analysis of more than 18,078 wireless test calls, texts and data transmissions conducted
during November 2013.
“AT&T was ranked highest inour November, 2013 tests of overall network performance in the Dayton area.
Our overall RootScore Award looks at call, data and text performance across all data network technologies,
including 4G LTE. We look at performance from a consumer’s point of view, and AT&T offered a very strong
overall performance for those in Dayton during our tests,” said Bill Moore, president and CEO of RootMetrics.
AT&T launched 4G LTE**in Dayton in July, 2013.It plans to expand its 4G LTE network to cover 300 million
people nationwide by year-end 2014. Even as 4G LTE expands, customers can get 4G speeds outside of 4G
LTE areas with our 4G HSPA+ technology.
