•  Set aside time in work schedule to allow them to
train
•  Highlight successes internally AND externally of
career growth via learning
•  Budget for classes that employees might need
external to your capabilities
•  Let your employees choose their path – at
reviews or quarterly check-ins ask the questions
about career growth and what they want to learn
•  Offer nontraditional choices and mix of digital
and on-premise learning – some folks like to
learn alone too
•  When hiring in new talent – also hire with
expectation of learning as part of the hire – but
only when internal has been exhausted and
vetted
•  Measure and Learn from successes and failures
