de Hierro del Norte de España. Miranda is an important
knot of communications due to the train since the 60’s
of the 19th century and its arrival involved the
beginning of the industrialization in Miranda. Here, the
lines Madrid - Irún and Castejón – Bilbao cross.

6. Adif is a public managerial entity dependent on
the Government. Its aim is the construction of
railroad lines and their maintenance. Nowadays
it administers 13.945 kilometres of routes and
1.566 stations. There is one controlling post in
Miranda.
