SlideShare as a, SOFTWARE, for Creating and
Presentation Material in the classroom
SlideShare is a tool that allows us to share and publish
information, presentations, documents and PDF files.
These can be reviewed and downloaded by the user
community. Among its advantages we can see that
SlideShare, it can be used as a tool to create educational
materials that can be used more than once without having
to create it again. This material can be used in the
classroom, and outside it as a complement or as reference
material.
3. Types of format supports SlideShare: SlideShare lets
you upload and share presentations. In formats: doc, docx,
odt, Work Apple, Google docs... SlideShare also supports
documents, PDFs, and videos.
Storage Size Maximum Allowed To Share Slide:
SlideShare offers a capacity of 100 MB to upload
presentations in PDF documents or files; and a capacity of
500 MB to upload and share videos.
Every presentation uploaded gets a unique URL that can
be embedded in blogs, websites, LMS, email or even other
PowerPoint presentations! More recently, new generation
software such as author STREAM allows its users to share
their presentations on Apple iPod or iPhone or on
equivalent devices and to upload it on YouTube. To use
SlideShare, we must have an account on SlideShare,
which is easy to create through page: www.slideshare.net
4. How They Work: On the free sites, anyone can access the
presentations that have been uploaded. Presentations can be
searched by author, topic or title in the normal way. Some of
these are watch-only; others can be downloaded, depending
on the author’s preference. Presentations by the same author
and related presentations are also shown. There is a facility
for commenting on the presentations.
O With SlideShare we can perform activities such as:
O Insert slideshows on your own blog or website.
O Share presentations in public or in private.
O Synchronizing of audio to slides.
O Market your own event on SlideShare.
O Join groups to connect with SlideShare members who
share your interest issues.
O Download the original files.
