- Many of the children and young people have significant medical issues and these are often the highest priority, however that doesn’t mean that other issues need to wait for attention more that many needs should be addressed in parallel. Home and education issues being important for student participation. Social integration hopefully can be assisted with students accessing their local school. Our service aims to be family centered in it’s approach – putting the family at the centre of the child’s world , the family being the strength and constant in the child life. Some families come with some things in place, however this needs careful evaluation as sometimes it is not as helpful as hoped for example a wheelchair may be hired but at great cost to the family.
