This document provides a review of speech emotion recognition techniques. Classification techniques used in these systems are also examined, such as DTW, ANN, GMM, and K-NN. The document concludes that speech emotion recognition could be useful for applications requiring natural human-computer interaction, like car systems that monitor driver emotion or educational tutorials that adapt based on student emotion.
