        Haiti Relief Effort
My project will benefit the people in Haiti.

After the 2010 Earthquake on January 12th,
  Over 1,000,000 people became homeless,
  around 300,000 people injured, and
  230,000 people were identified as deceased.
  An estimated 250,000 residences,
  30,000 commercial buildings, and
  the Presidential Palace and the National
   Assembly building were also destroyed/severely
   damaged.

My desire is that the Boy Scouts of America

make a footprint on the world,

and help serve the Boy Scouts of Haiti to rebuild their country.
Because He Knows The Plans He Has
      For ME Jeremiah 29:11

•    For surely I know the plans I have
for you, says the Lord, plans for
your welfare and not for harm, to
give you a future with hope.

•    JEREMIAH's HOPE PRAYER:
'Deep within my soul I cry out to
You Father.' I don't really know
what I need from You right now
but I am sensing something, so I'll
wait for Your direction. Lord my
list of wants is long but You
already know all about that. I
want to sit in Your Presence for
just a few minutes, Lord. So I
thank You for Your peace now.
Mr. Reed told me my
vision was possible!

We have an effective plan,
          please
     join our efforts
            and
      band together
       to help our
  brothers and sisters
         in need.
                                 Mr. Kim Reed,
                             President of “Builders
                               without Borders.”
Mr. Behounek has provided
me with the opportunity to
      serve and lead.
        Thank you!

   As each has received

      a gift, employ it

   in serving one another

as good managers of Me with my

the grace of God in Scout Master,

     its various forms. Michael Behounek.

       (1 Peter 4:10)
I made a
    commitment
to help the Haitians.

We have an effective plan,
          please
     join our efforts
            and
      band together
       to help our
  brothers and sisters
         in need.

                                  Mr. Bill Folts,
                                Chairman of the
                             District Advancement
                                for Eagle Scout
                               Projects, and me.
“This is an ambitious
goal, but reachable,”
     William Morriss

     With this in mind,
   I have continued to
     work toward the
            goal
   of providing homes
   for Haitians in need.
                           My dad, Mr. William
I ask you to join me Morriss, friend and
       in this effort. Distinguished Eagle
                             Scout, and me.
LOCAL DISTRICT
CONVERT 10 CONTAINERS INTO 20 HOUSES
              = HOUSING FOR 240 PEOPLE

“On Eagle’s Wings USA” has 4 Main Elements:
1. Troops can build a container together.

2. Fundraising: $3,000 (60 scouts @ $50.00 each).
3. Materials acquisition: Container, construction
   supplies, wood, nails, paint.
4. Trucking: Picking up the container from a location in
Texas and bringing it to the build-out site in Alvin, TX.
Then, delivering the built-out container to the Port of
Houston. The Ocean freight will carry it to the foreign
   Port and local delivery.
  a. Container delivery will be arranged by “On Eagle’s
  Wings USA” organization.
  b. Troops building out the container need to have their
Scoutmaster and a SPL represent them.

       c. A video and instruction manual will be
       provided for them.

       d. The freight and delivery of the 10 containers to
the foreign Port and local delivery will be
arranged and paid for by Reverend Merritt.

5. Build-out: Labor: Scout labor and Volunteers.
Requires 200 man-hours: 1 day= 8 hours a day
LOCATION OF CURRENT 10 CONTAINERS,

At Consolidated Warehousing LLC, ALVIN TEXAS
ONE 8' X 40’ CONTAINER WILL SLEEP 24 PEOPLE

                  Method of Preparation

1. Scrape all the rust found on the outside of the container off

2. Sweep all dirt and dust out from the inside of the container

3. Paint the top of the container white and the outside blue

4. Paint the inside of the container white

5. Build beds, table, and shelves
1.  Construct a prefabricated wall in the middle
of the container to divide it into two houses,

2. Build two level bunk-beds with access steps, cabinets
for clothes & other property, install a regular pre-hung
door & sliding window with screen at each end of the
“Container Home” so each family will have
independent access to their own home.

   inside and out.
The Next Step

My goal has been to provide a

       prototype and a blueprint,

               so Scouts

                  and

other organizations will adopt and commit

             to the project

        converting one container

into a home for 24 Haitians.

Our work will not be in vain.
“On Eagles Wings USA”
has a Commitment to Build and They will Ship.
