Child neglect is a social problem that has increased over the years according to statistics. It occurs across all social classes and backgrounds. Stress, unemployment, and lack of education or awareness of child development needs are contributing factors. Strategies to address this issue include educating the community through workshops and distributing informational brochures at various local places like libraries and doctors' offices.

Child abuse can also occur in any social class and in all ethnic,
religious or economic background. Economic disadvantage and poverty
are risk factors for child abuse too.
One of the causes for child neglect are stress and unemployment.
Mostly the pre-schoolers and infants are neglected by families.
In some extreme cases of neglect, the children led to developmental
delays and even death of the children
OPINIONS:
Mostly people think that child abuse and neglect does not happen in
good families and it only happens in the poor families or bad
neighbourhoods.
