To Promote Healthy Eating and Exercise for Children
ITV, Channel 4 and Sky are set to launch an ambitious
health and wellbeing initiative to promote the
importance of healthy eating and exercise for kids in a
new three-year partnership. With an airtime investment
of £10m, the UK’s leading commercial broadcasters aim
to reach 90% of UK children and help tackle children’s
obesity by showcasing advertising campaigns such as
Eat Them To Defeat Them and The Daily Mile. The
three main TV sales groups will launch multiple major
on-air campaigns from January 2020 with the aim of
helping 10 million kids lead healthier lives.

Prosegur and Telefónica (Spain) join forces to jointly manage the
alarm business in Spain
Prosegur and Telefónica have reached an agreement whereby
Telefónica acquires a 50% stake in Prosegur's alarm business in
Spain. This transaction, which must be submitted for approval by
the appropriate authorities, represents a valuation of 50% of
Prosegur's alarm business in Spain of €300 million, subject to the
standard adjustments in this type of transactions on debt, working
capital and existing customers at the time of the closing of the
transaction. Telefónica has the option to pay the price, in whole or in
part, in treasury shares, with Prosegur becoming a Telefónica
shareholder. With this alliance, both organisations want to
accelerate the development of the alarm business in Spain and
develop residential and business security services by generating
innovative solutions for customers and contributing the
complementary capabilities of both companies.

Verizon and Calix, a global provider of cloud and software platforms, systems and services used in next generation access
networks, achieved 34 Gbps speeds over fiber optic cable through use of a bonded NG-PON2 (Next-Generation Passive Optical
Network 2) ONT (Optical Network Terminal) prototype on Verizon’s simplified, increasingly automated fiber network. In 2018
Verizon announced it began testing NG-PON2 technology. NG-PON2 is the newest standard for Passive Optical Networks (fiber
networks that don’t require active amplification due to signal loss). NG-PON2 technology will provide faster speeds, lower
latency, simplification of operations and increased automation in the fiber network. To achieve those benefits, NG-PON2
technology must be deployed throughout the entire fiber network. Last year, Verizon and Calix successfully trialed NG-PON2
on the OLT (Optical Line Terminal) and in this latest demonstration used Calix AXOS® systems to deliver multiple Gbps for each
of four wavelengths and bond them together at the ONT (Optical Network Terminal.)To reach 34 Gbps, Verizon and Calix
extended intelligence and improved wire speed to the ONT by bonding all four available wavelength channels using software,
achieving service data rates in excess of individual wavelength channel capacity. Bonding the wavelengths together in this way
allowed Verizon to deliver speeds far in excess of what each individual wavelength could deliver, and when commercialized will
provide an unprecedented level of connection for business customers.

Dentsu Inc. announced that it has been selected as an index component of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices
(hereinafter "DJSI")* for the Asia Pacific region (DJSI Asia Pacific). The DJSI is a world-renowned ESG
investment index, and this is the fourth consecutive year that Dentsu has been selected. The DJSI was developed
in 1999 and is managed cooperatively by global financial market indices provider S&P Dow Jones Indices,
which is headquartered in the U.S., and RobecoSAM, a Switzerland based company that researches and rates the
socially responsible investments that companies make. The DJSI evaluates the sustainability of companies,
based on an analysis of environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria, in addition to each market

agreement was announced during the Capacity Europe event in November 2018, and the final agreement was signed. This
agreement marks the arrival of the first Chinese private submarine cable in France. PEACE refers to Pakistan and East Africa
Connecting Europe, is an open and neutral submarine cable system invested by HENGTONG Optic-electric (HKT), the global
information and energy network service provider. Measuring 12,000 kilometres in length, PEACE will link France to Pakistan
through a single landing point in the city of Marseille by 2021 using the Europe-Asia route, and the city of Mombasa in Kenya,
via a short route towards the Indian Ocean that will ensure optimum latency, and extend to South Africa in the future, reaching
15,000 kilometres totally. Through this agreement, Orange - the leading telecommunications operator in France - will supply and
operate the cable landing station in Marseille to link it to one of the city’s major data centres, and to make it a gateway to the
European network; and even to the Americas thanks to access to the transatlantic network accessible from France. Orange is the
sole French operator in the industry with existing infrastructure and the technical expertise to land this kind of cable in France.

solution to combat damage caused by counterfeiting in the market for alcoholic beverages.The NFC enabled
capsule represents a high-security closing solution to help prevent fraudulent refilling and grey market diversion of
original bottles, which has been a growing problem in the wine and spirits industry. The combination of Toppan’s
original antenna structure and an IC (integrated circuit) chip with a break detection circuit enables breakage or
tampering with the capsule to be detected. As the capsule stores a unique digital certificate to authenticate the bottle,

successfully achieved multi-vendor interoperability across a variety of 4G and 5G base station equipment compatible
with the international standards of the Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) Alliance, an industry group working to
create more open and intelligent next generation radio access networks, including 5G networks. The O-RAN standards
include fronthaul specifications and X2 profile specifications. This is believed to be the world's first realization of this
level of multi-vendor interoperability in 4G and 5G base station equipment conforming to O-RAN specifications;
DOCOMO will deploy the equipment in the pre-commercial 5G service it plans to launch on September 20, 2019 in
Japan. Signal transmission and reception specifications between base station equipment have not been fully
internationally standardized until now, and have not been fully consistent among vendors. To ensure the quality of
mobile communications, network operators have therefore typically utilized base station equipment from the same
vendor, and the choice of equipment has therefore tended to be limited.

KT Corp. said its Global Epidemic Prevention Platform (GEPP) began service in Lao PDR on September 6 to help the Southeast Asian
country enhance its epidemic preparedness and control. Laos is the second country to use the GEPP after Ghana, where service began last
month in Ghana. KT, South Korea’s leading telecommunications company, said that Laos GEPP, a joint endeavor between KT, the
Ministry of Health of Lao PDR and the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH), was launched during a ceremony at the
Crowne Plaza Hotel in Vientiane. The ceremony included a forum marking the tenth anniversary of the Lee Jong-wook Fellowship in Lao
PDR, operated by the KOFIH.Lao PDR will be capable of issuing warnings to travelers in epidemic-prone areas through GEPP. The Laos
GEPP smartphone app will inform users if an epidemic disease has broken out at their __location__, describe the symptoms and give
prevention advice. GEPP will also allow users to report their symptoms to nearby health offices.The Department of Communicable
Diseases Control of Lao PDR will be able to gauge and monitor a public health crisis __base__d on data collected from Laos GEPP. The
