SCALANCE – scalable
performance2 Totally Integrated Automation from Siemens demonstrates in a host of successful applications around the world the extent to which integrated solutions can be created today with shared tools and standardized mechanisms. Selective further development of industrial communication with SIMATIC NET is linked with this at a fundamental level. A pioneering milestone in this development is SCALANCE, the generation of active network components for establishing in- tegrated networks. These active network components are optimally coordinated with each other. They have been designed for harsh industrial environments and enable integrated, flexible and secure set- up of a high-performance network. Industrial Ethernet switching components The communication network is of the utmost importance for automation solutions. With SIMATIC NET, Siemens offers Industrial Ethernet switching components for structuring networked machines and plants, and for integrating into the overall cor- porate network. A graded portfolio of switches (SCALANCE X) and communications processors with integral switch enables optimum solutions for all types of switching tasks, and not only in harsh industrial environments. Industrial Wireless LAN (IWLAN) Thanks to wireless communication with programmable controllers, even greater flexibility is achieved, maintenance work is simplified, and service and standstill times reduced. The IWLAN solution from Siemens Industry makes these advantages available through a coordinated portfolio of WLAN equipment for industrial use, even for fail-safe communication in the context of operator and machine safety. This includes IWLAN access points and client modules (SCALANCE W), wireless interfaces for PROFIBUS and distributed I/O, mobile operator panels, planning soft- ware, and extensive accessories. Industrial Ethernet Security By integrating into the corporate network, the increased wired and wireless net- working of industrial plants enables a degree of integration and openness that pro- vides many benefits such as remote access to plant sections over the Internet. How- ever, this also results in certain risks with regard to data security. With its industrial security concept, SIMATIC NET offers a safety solution that is specially designed for industrial automation engineering and that satisfies the specific requirements of this application environment. The security modules (SCALANCE S) and software are easy to handle, and reaction-free integration into existing networking concepts is possible. SCALANCE – scalable performance © Siemens AG 2009

Industrial Wireless LAN
from Siemens 3 Industrial Wireless LAN from Siemens Reliable, rugged, and secure The key to market success lies in the provision and availability of information, no matter when or where you need it. Thanks to the use of mobile devices linked via wireless data networks (e.g. wireless LAN), the efficiency of processes can be signifi- cantly improved. The primary benefit of wireless solutions is the simple and flexible availability of mobile or hard to access stations. Mobile communication increases a company's competitive- ness, as it helps achieve greater flexibility through the use of wireless communication to automation devices and industrial terminal devices. As a result you can simplify maintenance work, reduce service costs and downtimes and deploy your personnel optimally. The WLAN IEEE 802.11 standard does not have the necessary specifications for use in an industrial environment. SIMATIC NET made several enhancements to radio products in accordance with the requirements of automation, thus creat- ing the Industrial Wireless LAN (IWLAN). Industrial Mobile Communication stands for wireless commu- nication in industry. It is based on international standards, such as IEEE 802.11 at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, and data transfer rates of up to 54 Mbit/s. The integration of wireless communication in industry is opening up a wide range of opportunities previously not avail- able with a wired solution: Demanding applications, such as those with strict real-time requirements, were until recently considered a no-go area for radio technology. The use of radio on dynamic machines saves cabling materials and mainte- nance costs, automated guided vehicle systems can obtain data without the need for cables and the choice of route is not restricted. Part of TIA Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) provides a complete range of products and systems for automation in all sectors of industry – from incoming goods through the production pro- cess to the delivery of goods, and through all levels, from the field level to production management right up to company management. The tools access a common database. This saves input costs and ensures project-wide consistency. Possible applications ■ Automated guided vehicle systems (AGV) and over- head monorail conveyors; prevents wear and offers high flexibility for traffic routing thanks to the wireless transfer of data to the vehicles ■ Cranes; high flexibility through access to data communica- tion with the moving unit independent of the location ■ Wireless access to field devices for configuration and testing without costly adaptation of the control cabinet ■ Communication with moving nodes (e.g. mobile controls and devices), storage and retrieval machines, conveyor systems, conveyor belts, rotating machines, trucks ■ Wireless linking of communication segments for rapid commissioning or for cost-effective network- ing, where otherwise the installation of cables would result in considerable costs (e.g. public highways, rivers, lakes, railways) ■ Water supply and waste-water disposal; monitors and controls water catchment, pumping stations and water treatment plants, for example, via GPRS, mobile phone and the Internet © Siemens AG 2009

IWLAN applications4 IWLAN applications Open-cast
mining Task specification • In open-cast mining, the transfer of data between the base station and the plaster gypsum stacker should be carried out online • Rugged and industry-standard components should be suit- able for outdoor use • The solution should offer a reliable wireless and mainte- nance-free system • MS Office applications should be integrated in the commu- nication system • The components should offer long-term availability Solution • The SCALANCE W788-1RR access points are used to estab- lish the wireless data transfer. This avoids the costly cabling involved in setting up a communicationsystemandthe result- ing wear, which leads to prolonged failures and high costs. • Thanks to their industry-standard design with IP65 degree of protection, the IWLAN components are protected against water and dust and can be used outdoors at tem- peratures as low as -20 °C. • The cyclic execution of data packets permits a strict real- time and reliable radio connection. Interference within the industrial environment does not affect the radio connec- tion, as redundancy mechanisms, packet repetitions and modern encryption mechanisms ensure a reliable and se- cure data transfer. • Within the established radio field, you can use the 277F IWLAN Mobile Panel terminal device to access up-to- date data online from any location • The SNMP OPC server makes it easy to integrate MS Office applications in the solution. As a result, the solution can provide important communication parameters for the com- munication system. Benefits • Mobile data exchange of up-to-date online data • Cost savings thanks to the reduction in maintenance work and longer intervals • Significant increase in availability • Integration of MS Office applications • Investment protection thanks to long-term availability of the components Point-to-point connection up to 1 km between the control room and the bucket-wheel excavator PC with SNMP OPC-server Bucket-wheel excavator Control room G_IK10_XX_30200 Mobile Panel 277F IWLAN Client Module SCALANCE W747-1RR SIMATIC HMIS7-400F Access Point SCALANCE W788-1RR Antenna ANT793-8DR Antenna ANT793-8DR Industrial Ethernet PROFINET Industrial Ethernet PROFINET © Siemens AG 2009

production Task specification • The number of nutrunners used in vehicle final assembly should be reduced. The existing solution uses one nutrun- ner for each cycle and each barcode detection • Since the hard-wired solution with slip rings results in high maintenance costs, a reliable wireless communication so- lution is required to increase efficiency and reduce setup times • The products should be industrialized and available world- wide • Investment protection is also required by ensuring the long-term availability of the components used Solution • The IWLAN RCoax Cable – a silicon-free leaky wave cable – is used along the coding rail to enable wireless data trans- fer. It generates a defined conical and reliable radio field, which is easy to route. The RCoax Cable is therefore ideal for use in demanding radio environments and in all types of rail-mounted vehicles. • The feed-in station for the RCoax Cable consists of SCALANCE W788-1RR IWLAN access points in accordance with IEEE 802.11 b/g (2.4 GHz), with data transfer rates of up to 54 Mbit/s. • The SCALANCE W747-1RR client module is installed as a mobile station. As a result, the same mobile unit can be used for all applications, and consequently one mobile nutrunner can be employed for multiple cycles. • In addition, the use of SCALANCE W747-1RR offers the option of using up to eight terminal devices. • The terminal devices and the SCALANCE W747-1RR client module in the hanger are connected to a SCALANCE X208PRO Industrial Ethernet switch using M12 Ethernet technology. System solution for nutrunner controllers with RCoax Cable and SCALANCE W747-1RR Benefits • Low investment costs owing to the reduced number of nutrunners • Reduction in maintenance costs and downtimes thanks to a reliable wireless and wear-free data transfer to mobile communication partners • Decreased downtimes in case of failures owing to the use of the C-PLUG (Configuration Plug); devices can be re- placed without the need for specialist personnel or a pro- gramming device • Reduction of operator activity, for example scanning, cycle transfer, travel time allows higher throughput • Easy to change models, dependent only on material logis- tics • Possibility of integrating additional quality assurance appli- cations • Complete nutrunner data can be loaded via the IWLAN line S7-300 with CP 343-1 RCoax cable Segment 1 Nutrunner control Hangers ET 200pro Industrial Ethernet PROFINET G_IK10_XX_30048 SCALANCE X208PRO SIMATIC HMI Access Point SCALANCE W788-1RR Client Module SCALANCE W747-1RR Antenna ANT792-4DN © Siemens AG 2009

Cabling system 25 Cabling
system The active network components are supplemented by passive network components. For access points with RJ45, M12 or fiber-optic connec- tions there are different FastConnect cables available for different application areas. The FastConnect system thus enables simple assembly on-site and avoids excess lengths because the correct length can always be assembled for RJ45, M12, or fiber-optic FC cables. • Industrial Ethernet FC cables with special construction for quick assembly (UL and CAT5 PLUS certification, PROFINET- compliant) • User-friendly stripping technology with the FC stripping tool, enabling the outer sheath and braided shield to be re- moved accurately in a single operation. • FC RJ45 Plugs have a rugged metal housing that is immune to interference, making it the ideal solution for the installa- tion of RJ45 plugs in the field area, too (PROFINET compli- ant). • With FastConnect products, the prepared cables are con- nected using cutting and clamping methods. • The Industrial Ethernet FC Modular Outlet is also suitable for Gigabit cabling (Cat 6). For access points with hybrid connection the FC RJ45 Modular Outlet with power insert is available. If the SCALANCE W devices are to be supplied with power and data via a cable, a hybrid cable - to be ordered separately - and the FC RJ45 Modular Outlet with power insert must be used (assembly in the field). The IE FC Hybrid Cable 2x2 + 4x0.34 is available as the cable. It is a flexible cable for conveying power and data for the IE FC RJ45 Modular Outlet. You can assemble the hybrid plug that is included in the scope of supply yourself on site. © Siemens AG 2009

Industrial Wireless Communication
27 Industrial Wireless Communication Advantages at a glance ■ Predictable data traffic (deterministic) and defined response times on the radio link ■ Reliable radio link, e.g. due to redundant connection and cyclic monitoring of the wireless path ■ Cost savings due to a separate radio network for reli- able operation of a process as well as for critical pro- cess data (e.g. alarm signals), as well as for non-criti- cal communication (e.g. service and diagnostics) ■ Investment security because all products are compatible with the internationally recognized WLAN standard IEEE 802.11, suitable for the unli- censed frequency bands of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz (ISM bands) ■ Quick commissioning of the access points with the swap medium PRESET-PLUG ■ Reduced operating costs, because there is no wear of rotating and moving plant sections ■ Cost-effective connection to devices which are remote, difficult to access or in hostile environments ■ Operational reliability in the industrial environment, e.g. thanks to a rugged housing and industrial approvals ■ Increased plant availability through wireless data transmission to mobile communication partners with the leaky wave RCoax cable ■ Uniform radio network throughout the company sec- tors for voice and data; cost savings resulting from central management, simple installation and reliable startup ■ Redundant power supply via Power-over-Ethernet (48 V DC in accordance with IEEE 802.3af and 12-32 V DC or 110-230 V AC) ■ C-PLUG: Swap medium for rapid device replacement without the need for a programming device. This pre- vents downtimes and cuts engineering costs in the event of access point failure. The time required for maintenance is reduced; no trained personnel is required in case of disturbances ■ Use also in the automobile industry, e.g. in paint lines, thanks to silicone-free version, and certified for explosion protection Zone 2 (ATEX) ■ Different product versions in IP30 and IP65 for differ- ent applications; operation with WLAN controller possible ■ Fiber-optic connection for greater distances © Siemens AG 2009
