freedom.

In spite of his capture,

captured the leader.

9. Haiti declared its
independence. It is the
ONLY successful slave
revolt in history.
Unfortunately, today
Haiti is one of the
poorest countries in the
world and an earthquake
destroyed much of the
country a few years ago.
