Lessons learned and issues
Visualisation through a geo information platform is
vital to facilitate the business case;
– Insight into the energy and heat exchange
possibilities between buildings
– Exploring the possibilities of solar, wind and
geothermal energy
A government initiated geo information platform can
be a starting point for market parties to build and rely
on.

The Dutch Kadaster collects and registers administrative and spatial data on property and the rights involved, including real estate. We are also responsible for national mapping and maintenance of the national reference coordinate system. Furthermore, we are an advisory body for land-use issues and national spatial data infrastructures.
Aangeven dat Kadaster Ruimte en Advies practices as EnergieRijk Den Haag oppakt, juist om te helpen bij het monitisen van geo-informatie gebruik Cadastre also provides customised work and advice, predominantly to government and authorities. This refers to data selections and aggregations. Authorities obtain customised information which helps them develop spatial planning policies. We are for example asked by the State government to support their initiative to monitise real estate regarding energy management with geo data.
1) The ministry of the Interior has asked us the following: mapping of the State and City buildings and energy charcteristics in downtown The Hague to support their initiative to reduce and stabilise energy costs. 2) Their initiative has several stages, Kadaster is involved in the first two stages. The activities have not been finished yet, we are in the middle of collecting data. 3) This method is developed for the use case of The Hague and can also be applied to other grounds, for example the socalled concentration locations for buildings of the State government. The Hague is one of them.
We will show a short video of the use case: The area of downtown The Hague, the need of the program manager of the Ministry of the Interior and the work of the Cadastre Data scientist.
