Digitization Program Steering Committee – Functions at the higher organizational level.Decides how best to promote, progress, and maintain the program according to the library’s mission and goals.Establishes both internal and external stakeholders/representatives.Considers larger issues such as copyright, licensing, storage for both physical and digital items, private donors and partners, and funding.Each individual brings a system-wide component to the table.Digitization Program Work Group –Web Services Librarian serves as project manager.Sets policies and standards for selection, capture, and access to the digital collections.Each individual brings a project-wide component to the table.Digitization Team –All staff trained to capture images.Web Services Librarian serves as trainer, quality assurance manager and team leader.Currently 4 staff members working on one collection and one contracted worker on another project.
Setup and organization:Each institution will have different needs and resources therefore creating a different setup at each agency.Depending on the size and format of each collection, workflow and staffing may vary from collection to collection.
