1. Microsoft BI Specialist
OKTOPUS Consulting is a services company specialized in Business Intelligence. We provide a full range
of BI services from management strategy to implementation and operations. We have been doing
business in Luxembourg for over 10 years, offering solutions to clients mostly in the financial sector.
We are looking to improve and expand our service offering around Microsoft Business Intelligence
products, especially in Azure cloud based solutions, advanced analytics and machine learning.
We are looking for an ambitious and dynamic BI specialist, who is willing to bring her/his BI skills and
experiences, and help lift our Microsoft BI service offer to the next level.
Responsabilities
 Build, implement and support Microsoft BI solutions
 Interact directly with clients and carry out multiple projects
 Contribute to the development of our Microsoft Business Intelligence products service offer
 Update your job knowledge by the studying state-of-the-art Business Intelligence Microsoft
Tools
 Become a Microsoft certified professional (MCP)
Qualifications
We expect you to have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science.
You have the following basic knowledge:
 Relational Database and SQL Language
 Data Warehouse / Solution Design / Dimensional Modeling
 At least one programming language
You have a minimum of 3-4 years of experiences with at least one of the following technologies
 Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2016 (SSIS/SSAS/SSRS)
 Multidimensional Model (MDX) or Tabular Model (DAX)
 Experience with Microsoft Power BI is considered a plus
You possess experience in all stages of BI project work (requirements and logical design, physical
design, implementation, testing and deployment).
Being part of a dedicated team, you are expected to be able to work independently.
We also expect you to be open-minded and trustworthy, and to have the following personal skills:
 Fluency in both English and French
 A motivating and selling personality
 Good communication skills
 To have a well-structured approach to challenges and be results oriented
Considered as a Plus
 R Programming / Data science background
 Machine learning / Online learning / graph theory
 Experience with large scale data systems (Hadoop)
