The “Miracle on Ice” is the name is the name of an
American ice hockey game during the 1980 Winter
Olympics on February 22nd. The US team, made up of
amateur and college players and coached by Herb
Brooks, defeated the Soviet team, who had won nearly
every world championship and Olympic tournament
since 1954. Team USA went on to win the gold by
winning its last match against Finland.

Holyfield-Tyson II is the name of the boxing match
between Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield on June 28,
1997, in which Tyson bit Holyfield's ear. The fight was a
follow-up rematch of the first Tyson-Holyfield fight, and

Fight".

scandal led to Clinton’s impeachment in 1998 by the US House
of Representatives and acquittal by the Senate.

attacks. Two of the planes , American Airlines Flight

North and South towers, of the World Trade Center
complex in New York City. We call this area Ground
Zero.

On December 14, 2012, Adam Lanza, 20, fatally shot
twenty children and six adult staff members in a mass
murder at Sandy Hook Elementary School in the village
of Sandy Hook in Newtown, Connecticut. The incident
is the second deadliest mass shooting by a single
person in American history.
16. BOSTON BOMBING: 2013 (POLITICAL
DOMESTIC EVENT)
April 15, 2013, two pressure cooked bombs
exploded at 2:49 P.M., killing 3 people and injuring
264 people. The bombs exploded about 13
seconds and 210 yards apart near the finish yard
on Boylston Street. The FBI took over the
investigation and on April 18, released photos and
surveillance video of two suspects.
