18. Brainstorm
• How do you think mobile learning could be
used for learning?
• How would easier searches help employees
and/or customers?
Editor's Notes
How does an organization inccorporate new training into the training technology. Where do you find the time?
What is Web 1.0 and 2.0 and how do they relate to web 3.0? A collection of static documents, like encyclopedia Brittanica online
A cultural shift in the use of the WWW as an Interactive, content creating and shared, engaging medium. Web 2.0 applications are free.
? Slideshare which I’m using, Youtube, and Wordpress and Snapzpro were are all used to create this presentation.
Web 3.0 does not replace Web 2.0. It builds upon the connections of Web 2.0. Analogy: Example of the postal service: Delivering without zip codes, creation of an indexing system zip codes and address told the postal worker where to deliver the mail. With web 3.0 the postal worker will know who to deliver to based on the CONTENT as well as the CONTEXT of the letter and all the other letters you receive. From Search Engine to Search Agent.
Web 3.0 represents a range of internet-based services and technologies that include components such as natural language search, forms of artificial intelligence and machine learning, software agents that make recommendations to users, and the application of context to content. By making data more understandable to machines, it also makes information easier to find and more understandable to people. Ultimately, it makes data integration and access easier, helping to usher in an era of seamless connectivity to a smarter web, regardless of device….Better, Smarter, Faster: How Web 3.0 will transform Learning in High-Performing Organizations by ASTD Research. Rather than people creating inquiries, the software will generate inquiries, much faster than people can! I’ll talk about that more in a minute. It will make more sense once you understand how the technology works.

“ Linking Open Data cloud diagram, by Richard Cyganiak and Anja Jentzsch. http://lod-cloud.net/” Each node represents linked data. Too big for people, but machines will be doing it, by machines, I mean software and hardware!
RDF is designed to provide a method for classification of data on Web sites in order to improve searching and navigation (see Semantic Web ). The software will be creating the categories for us. Artificial intelligence! http://www.alchemyapi.com/api/
When each object and piece of content has its properties defined and the relationship between those properties are expressed, it becomes far easier to find the right piece to include in a specific program. Better searches are correlated with better learning and performance. Personal Learning Assistant: Understand distinct pieces of a user’s profile and make conclusions based on how those pieces relate to all of the information available.
Mobile Uses: Accessing data, multi-media, applications like Word, augmented reality, employee networking, recording, pesentations
