usually not assisted. Some went to great lengths, but Mother Teresa went to India to serve all in any

Mother Teresa continued her uses of pathos in her speech by recalling a past experience she had
with a poor woman. She reflected on the poor people as great people which allowed the audience to
see them as something other than a stereotype. She remembered how the poor woman thanked her
and many others about the importance of abstaining and having self–control in regards to having
children. As she died, the woman looked at Mother Teresa, said

1910 in the town of Skopje, Macedonia. However, she always wrote her birthday as 27 August
because to her, the day of her baptism was always more important than the day of her birth.
Mother Teresa was a Roman Catholic nun who devoted her life to serving the poor and destitute
around the world. She spent many years teaching in India, where she founded the Missionaries of
Charity, a religious congregation devoted to helping those in great need.

Mother Teresa showed God's work instead them, by helping them with school and hospitality. This
nuns have volunteered their time and don 't get paid, to me this would be hard for me to just go and
help people without getting paid.
The way she got motivated to devote herself to the poor, was when she got sick and get stuck in

I never really knew what these missionaries do, and it just fills my heart that there are people in

to know that these people are devoted through Jesus. On judgement day we all know that God will
welcome these missionaries to heaven with open arms. They devote their lives to do the work of

The other topic I felt was interesting in the book, is when Mother Teresa speaks of her thoughts
and feelings on abortion. There are several sections in the book, where she talks about abortion. I
do agree with Mother Teresa's points on abortion. We are killing innocent children that God has
created. In one section where Mother Teresa is in an interview answering questions, one question
was referring to abortion. I want to quote her answer because it could not be answered in a better
way. Her answer was, "people are trying to be free to live their own life by destroying life. For
me, this is a painful sign that either the country is so poor that it cannot care for the lives that God

Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu was born August 26, 1910 in Skopje, in Macedonia. Her childhood was
comfortable and prosperous due to her father's success. Her father encouraged his children to be

Brothers. The branch of the Sisters began in New York on June 25, 1976 and the Brothers were
established in Rome on March 19, 1979. The Fathers were founded in the Bronx, New York on

With a rare combination of goodness and media savvy, Mother Teresa took advantage of her
new–found recognition. She began giving speeches worldwide, helping to bring attention to the
