Wat leert u tijdens dit IDEA Steel Connect 7 release show? Wij gaan dieper in op de nieuwe mogelijkheden van release 7.0 en 7.1 vab IDEA Steel Connection rekensoftware voor het ontwerpen en controleren van staalverbindingen volgens de Eurocode 3. De unieke CBFEM methode van IDEA Connection stelt de gebruiker in staat om willekeurige verbindingen - van zeer eenvoudig tot uitertst complex - te controleren volgens de Eurocode 3 en de Amerikaanse norm. Idea Connection kan worden gebruikt als een op zich zelf staand programma of gelinkt aan uw bestaande reken- en tekensoftware. - So let me introduce us… Our company IDEA RS develops software for engineers who deal with structural analysis and design of members and details and our product called IDEA StatiCa and is used to design bridges, residential, civil and industrial structures.

- We know that he can design them.
- Let‘s summarize our new solution. It is called Component based finite element model. It is a synergy of standard Component method and Finite Element Analysis. This method is general, we can do stress analysis, buckling analysis and also investigate stiffness. All of this is combined into a reliable overall check of the connection. It was quite hard to put all pieces of this solution together so we are protecting our method with a patent, both on a national and international level.
- Current component method is a valid tool for engineers and gives reliable results for many connections engineers deal with. But we are showing weak point of component method – that is the model needed for calculation of internal forces and stresses in the connection. For each topology of the joint, specific model needs to be derived. When we know forces, the specific checks according to design code for bolts, welds and other components can be applied.
