SETS THE EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR
THE ISSUE OF THE LICENSE.
It depends on where the applicants are
applying from:
• From Approved Training School.
• From military personnels
• From airlines and air operator
3. The Experinces equirements are stated
in two dimensions:
• The length of the experiences.
• The types of the experieces
4. The Length of the experiences.
Sample for License B1-1 is given below:
• Two years experience for applicants made from ATO
(approved training organisations).
• three (3) years of practical maintenance experience
on operating aircraft and completion of training
considered relevant as a skilled worker in a technical
trade; or
• Five (5) years experienced for applicants without
any previous technical experiences.
5. The quality of the Experiences
• CAT 741 provides the types of experiences
needed.
• It is divided into 2 sections:
▫ The Basic License applicants
▫ The Type license applicants
6. About CAP 741
• The Civil Aviation Publication 741 is for
maintenance engineer logbook.
• It is the preferred way of demostrating
compliance to the experience requirements.
• It is to be filled up by three people:
▫ The holder or apllicant for the license
▫ The validator
▫ The assessors
