- Mention that we presented at LSA conference a couple of years ago about the whole improvement project, but this presentation will concentrate on the role of the SOM in working together with women and staff to address poor behaviours and improve women’s experience. Need to say a little here about the initial joint review – commissioned by Tower Hamlets and BLT based on user feedback through 3 rd sector organisations and our own understanding that all was not well - looked at benchmarking service against all known national standards at the time and gathered extensive stakeholder feedback – midwives, obstetricians, women and GP’s HCC review echoed what we had identified locally Joint improvement project set up with commissioners, BLT and 3 rd sector with clear action plan The overwhelming feedback was that there were issues with staff attitude. For this presentation we will be focusing on work done to improve women’s experience and how as a group of supervisors we worked with staff and women
