DEFINITION OF TERMS: Hand Massage – the manipulation of the hands to relax the client and ease the discomfort prior to enameling. Effleurage – derived from french verb “effleurer” meaning to “brush against” or “touch lightly”. Petrissage – derived from french verb “petrir” meaning to “to knead”. Frictions – derived from Latin word “frictio” which means to “rub”. Vibrations – group of technique that consist of rhythmic manipulations of the soft tissue.
