  1. Chalkboard is a local ad network specializing in location based promotions in both mobile and web. We enable businesses to reach nearby consumers with real-time offers delivered instantly to them. I’d like to begin by showing you some interesting numbers. \n
  2. According to a recent gartner press release this october, mobility will be a trillion dollar business by 2014. Apart from mobile voice & data revenue, other services such as advertising, application and service sales will each be a significant business worth several tens of billions of dollars per year.\n
  3. This is supported by the fact that mobile consumers worldwide will reach 5.8 Billion by 2013 with the highest growth of 44% coming from Asia Pacific. No other media channel offers anything like this reach.\n

And thus, the ability to target people based on location is now the biggest opportunity for marketers in mobile. \nIt has spawned a new breed of consumer that expects marketing to happen seamlessly, “in the moment” -- whenever and wherever they are at. \nIt’s a new HERE AND NOW consumer culture that blends the online and offline worlds, fueled by the demand for instant gratification, and the expectation that technology should enable these.\n
  7. Gartner predicts that the LBS user base will grow globally to 526 million in 2012 as compared to just 96 million in 2009\n
