This research paper is about applying what has been learned from the reading assignments, discussions, and additional research for your topic area as applied to any one or a combination of the following as mentioned in the HBR (2011) managing people: leadership that gets results, use of emotional intelligence, motivation and the set up to fail syndrome. Please apply your research in a logical manner to address a problem or issue of contention around your topic area and organizational behavior. You will research the concepts we are reading about in HBR (2011) On Managing People and identify organizational behavior with a focus on your selected topic area. The concentration of a topic area to use throughout the course will allow you to gain strength in research and apply the coursework to the current and relevant situations in the workplace, campus life, and/or from your lens as the researcher and manager in your workplace. We will create the research papers (review of the literature) around these subheadings which are in bold. If you want to use other sub-headers, just let me know. What article or managerial component from the HBR (2011) textbook best relates to the research you are presenting in the paper? This may be a combination of several but when describing the introduction or issues section, please be clear about the relationship to the coursework. Introduction Introduce the topic being explored based on your selection at the beginning of the course. (note: through the course you may decide to research the topic differently example perhaps you will explore leadership in paper one and ethics in paper two and learning in paper three - this is a critical thinking course so you own the work). However, you must relate this topic to the readings about organizational behavior and managing people, processes or an issue in some way. Issue or Problem What is the issue or problem being researched? Please include stakeholders such as who cares and why this in an important business case, or how a potential solution could benefit society. When describing the introduction or issue section, please be clear about the relationship to the coursework and transition this work into a robust review of the literature. Literature Review A review of the literature must use seven (7) academic sources, and at least two (2) must be from the textbook (articles read to date) or videos.
