5. Satan deceives Adam and Eve
They fail Godâs test and do not trust
Him.The lust of the flesh, the lust of
the eyes, and the pride of life cause
their fall into sin and God pronounces
the solution and some inevitable
consequences.
6. The Curse andThe Prophecy
Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between thee and the
woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it
shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his
heel. (KJV)
7. GODWARNS SATAN
âą âThis pronouncement was historic. God proclaimed the means by which Satan
would be punished and destroyed would be through the seed of the
woman.
âą A human woman would give birth to a male child who would one day destroy the
Devil. This was the first prophecy of the coming Messiah, Jesus Christ. Satan was
put on notice.
âą From then on he set out to corrupt or destroy an God-fearing child as that could
potentially be the prophesied Redeemer.
âą The first Godly child born, Abel, was killed by his wicked brother Cain. Cain was
banished and Adam and Eve bore another son Seth. At his birth Eve declared:
âFor God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain
slew.â â (Genesis 4:25).â
8. Her seed
ï”The Messiah will come through Sethâs line.
Seth is Eveâs righteous, God given son.
ï”Can Satan destroy the seed of Seth in order
to destroy the coming of the Messiah?
11. NIV readers version
âą I will put hatredâš between you and the
woman.âš Your children and her
children will be enemies.âšHer son will
crush your head.âš And you will crush his heel.â
12. This is a prediction of spiritual
conflict between the righteous
and the unrighteous.
It is also a prediction of physical
conflict between Satanâs children
on earth and Godâs children.
14. GENESIS 6:1-2
Then the people began to multiply on the
earth, and daughters were born to
them. The sons of Godsaw the
beautiful women and took any they wanted as
their wives.
15. Who Are âThe Sons of Godâ ?
Job 1:6-7
Now there was a day when the sons of God
came to present themselves before the Lord, and
Satan came also among them. And the Lord said
unto Satan,Whence comest thou?Then Satan
answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro
in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
16. Translation of Job 1:6-7
fromThe Message
One day when the angels came to report to
God, Satan, who was the DesignatedAccuser,
came along with them. God singled out Satan
and said, âWhat have you been up to?â
Satan answered God, âGoing here and there,
checking things out on earth.â
17. Who AreThe Sons of God ?
Job 2:1 ESV
Again there was a day when the sons of God
came to present themselves before the Lord,
and Satan also came among them to present
himself before the Lord.
18. Job 38:4-7 (The Message)
âWhy do you confuse the issue?
Why do you talk without knowing what youâre talking about.
Pull yourself together, Job!âš Up on your feet! Stand tall!âšI have some questions for you,âš and I want some
straight answers.âšWhere were you when I created the earth?âš Tell me, since you know so much!âšWho
decided on its size? Certainly youâll know that!âš Who came up with the blueprints and measurements?âšHow
was its foundation poured,âš and who set the cornerstone,âšWhile the morning stars sang in chorusâš and
all the angels shouted praise?âš And who took charge of the oceanâš when it gushed forth like a
baby from the womb?âšThat was me! I wrapped it in soft clouds,âš and tucked it in safely at night.âšThen I
made a playpen for it,âš a strong playpen so it couldnât run loose,âšAnd said, âStay here, this is your
place.âš Your wild tantrums are confined to this place.â
19. THE SONS OF GOD
ARE
ANGELS.
The Septuagint translation
says, âthe angels of Godâ
20. So fallen Angels impregnated
human women and created
half-breed sons that were part
fallen angel and part human.
Messing with Godâs genetic
code (DNA) of humans.
21. What are these half breeds called?
Genesis 6:4
The Nephilim were on the earth in those days-
and also afterward-when the sons of God went
to the daughters of men and had children by
them. They were the heroes of old, men of
renown.
22. http://beginningandend.com/bloodlines-of-the-
nephilim-a-biblical-study/
âSatan instituted his Nephilim planinto action.
By corrupting the seed of the woman, Satan could prevent the birth of the
Messiah, who of course, had to be human and not part fallen angel.
The Nephilim were an attempt to thwart Godâs plan of salvation for
humanity. At every step, the Nephilim, via their evil angelic parentage,
sought to undermine or undo what God had set out for humanity to be
reconciled to Him.
In their dominance of the Earth, they reproduced so rapidly, God proclaimed
that all flesh on the Earth had become corrupted. They dominated the Earth
with war, bloodshed, and their pagan religion.â
24. Meaning of Nephilim
âą The word âNephilimâ means âFallen Ones.â
âą Jewish scholars in 250 BC who translated the Old
Testament into Greek used the term âgigentes,â
which means âTitansâ to describe them.
âą This implies they were part god/higher being and
part human- half-breeds like theTitans in Greek
mythology. The scholars picked a term that the
Greeks would readily understand.
25. WEREALL OFTHE
NEPHILIM GIANTS?
âą No.They were a new race of beings , a race of
fallen ones, a race of âgodsâ and men.
âą They had extra capacities, both mentally and
physically, but may not have been larger than
a normal human being.
âą âGiborimâ means mighty men of renown.
28. Writings of Josephus
"For many angels of God accompanied with women, and begat sons that
proved unjust, and despisers of all that was good, on account of the
confidence they had in their own strength; for the tradition is, that these
men did what resembled the acts of those whom the Grecians call
giants."
"These kings had laid waste all Syria, and overthrown the offspring of
the giants. And when they were come over against Sodom. . ."
"They told them also, that they found at Hebron the posterity of the
giants.Accordingly these spies, who had seen the land of Canaan, âšwhen
they perceived that all these difficulties were greater there than they had
met with since they came out of Egypt, they were aftrighted at them
themselves, and endeavored to affright the multitude also."
29. âFor which reason they removed their camp to Hebron; and when they had taken it, they slew all
the inhabitants. There were till then left the race of giants, who had bodies so large, and
countenances so entirely different from other men, that they were surprising to the sight,
and terrible to the hearing. The bones of these men are still shown to this very day, unlike to
any credible relations of other men. Now they gave this city to the Levites as an extraordinary
reward. . â
A little afterward the king made war against the Philistines; and when he had joined battle with
them, and put them to flight, he was left alone, as he was in pursuit of them; and when he was
quite tired down, he was seen by one of the enemy, his name was Achmon, the son of Araph, he
was one of the sons of the giants. He had a spear, the handle of which weighed three hundred
shekels, and a breastplate of chain-work, and a sword. He turned back, and ran violently to slay
[David] their enemy's king, for he was quite tired out with labor; but Abishai, Joab's brother,
appeared on the sudden, and protected the king with his shield, as he lay down, and slew the
enemy. Now the multitude were very uneasy at these dangers of the king, and that he was very
near to be slain; and the rulers made him swear that he would no more go out with them to
battle, lest he should come to some great misfortune by his courage and boldness, and thereby
deprive the people of the benefits they now enjoyed by his means, and of those that they might
hereafter enjoy by his living a long time among them. "
30. "When the king heard that the Philistines were gathered together at the city
Gazara, he sent an army against them, when Sibbechai the âšHittite, one of
David's most courageous men, behaved himself so as to deserve great
commendation, for he slew many of those thatâšbragged they were the
posterity of the giants, and vaunted themselves highly on that account, and
thereby was the occasion of victory to the Hebrews."
"They had a man who was six cubits tall, and had on each of his feet and
hands one more toe and finger than men naturally have. Now the person
âšwho was sent against them by David out of his army was Jonathan, the son
of Shimea, who fought this man in a single combat, and slew him; and âšas he
was the person who gave the turn to the battle, he gained the greatest
reputation for courage therein. This man also vaunted himself to be âšof the
sons of the giants. But after this fight the Philistines made war no more
against the Israelites."
31. The Book of Enoch
Book 1
"And they became pregnant, and they bare great
giants, whose height was three hundred ells:[68]Who
consumed all the acquisitions of men. And when men could
no longer sustain them, the giants turned against them
and devoured mankind. And they began to sin against
birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one
another's flesh, and drink the blood."
32. The Book of Enoch
"And AzĂązĂȘl taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and
breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of
working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the
beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all colouring
tinctures. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed
fornication, and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways.
SemjĂązĂą taught enchantments, and root-cuttings, ArmĂąrĂŽs the resolving of
enchantments, BarĂąqĂźjĂąl, taught astrology, KĂŽkabĂȘl the constellations, EzĂȘqĂȘĂȘl
the knowledge of the clouds, AraqiĂȘl the signs of the earth, ShamsiĂȘl the signs
of the sun, and SariĂȘl the course of the moon."
33. The Book of Enoch
"Then said the Most High, the Holy and Great One spoke, and
sent Uriel to the son of Lamech, and said to him: Go to Noah
and tell him in my name "Hide thyself!" and reveal to him the
end that is approaching: that the whole earth will be
destroyed, and a deluge is about to come upon the whole
earth, and will destroy all that is on it. And now instruct him
that he may escape and his seed may be preserved for all the
generations of the world."
34. The Book of Enoch
"the Lord said to Raphael: 'Bind AzĂązĂȘl hand and foot, and cast him into the
darkness: and make an opening in the desert, which is in DĂ»dĂąĂȘl (God's
Kettle/Crucible/Cauldron), and cast him therein. And place upon him rough and
jagged rocks, and cover him with darkness, and let him abide there for ever, and
cover his face that he may not see light. And on the day of the great judgment
he shall be cast into the fire. And heal the earth which the angels have
corrupted, and proclaim the healing of the earth, that they may heal the
plague, and that all the children of men may not perish through all the secret
things that theWatchers have disclosed and have taught their sons. And the
whole earth has been corrupted through the works that were taught by AzĂązĂȘl:
to him ascribe all sin."
36. God did not spare angels when they sinned. Instead, he sent them to hell. He
put them in dark prisons. He will keep them there until he judges them. God did not
spare the worldâs ungodly people long ago. He brought the flood on them. But
Noah preached about the right way to live. God kept him safe. He also saved seven
others. God judged the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. He burned them to ashes. He
made them an example of what is going to happen to ungodly people.
God saved Lot. He was a man who did what was right. He was shocked by the dirty,
sinful lives of people who didnât obey Godâs laws. That good man lived among them
day after day. He saw and heard the evil things they were doing. They were breaking
Godâs laws. And his godly spirit was deeply troubled.
So the Lord knows how to keep godly people safe in times of testing. He also knows
how to keep ungodly people under guard until the day they will be judged. In the
meantime, he continues to punish them. Most of all, this is true of people who follow
the evil longings of their sinful natures. They hate to be under authority.
Those false prophets are bold and proud. They arenât afraid to speak evil things
against heavenly beings. 2 Peter 2:4-10
37. Jude 5-7
Now I desire to put you in remembrance, though ye know all things once for
all, that the Lord, having saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward
destroyed them that believed not.
And angels that kept not their own principality, but left their
proper habitation, he hath kept in everlasting bonds under darkness unto the
judgment of the great day.
Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them, having in like
manner with these given themselves over to fornication and gone after
strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the punishment of
eternal fire.
38. The angels who participated in
this are chained in a place called
Tartarus (Hell) and are awaiting
final judgment by Christ.
They are unable to roam the earth
and repeat this abomination.
39. Do we see stories of this nature in
cultural mythologies?
40. In Greek and Roman Mythologies
Half-breed Heroes Spring forth
42. CORRUPTINGTHE IMAGE
The Bible calls them âmen of renown.âThe Hebrew word
here, shem, refers to being famous and legendary. It is as if
the Bible is indicating that when the reader hears of legends
of âdemigodsâ, titans or legendary heroes who were part
god, that this is who those âmythsâ were referring to.These
were âmenâ of superhuman ability and strength. In addition to
causing violence and sin in the world, the Nephilim were also
corrupting the human bloodline.
49. The Lord observed the extent of human
wickedness on the earth, and he saw that
everything they thought or imagined was
consistently and totally evil. So the Lord was
sorry he had ever made them and put them on
the earth. It broke his heart. And the Lord said,
âI will wipe this human race I have created from
the face of the earth.Yes, and I will destroy
every living thingâall the people, the large
animals, the small animals that scurry along the
ground, and even the birds of the sky. I am sorry
I ever made them.â
But Noah found favor with the Lord.
54. HOW?
âAnd Noah was six hundred years old when the
flood of waters was upon the earth. And Noah
went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sonsâ
wives with him, into the ark, because of the
waters of the flood. âGenesis 7:6-7.
57. HAM,THE FATHER
OF CANAAN
âAnd the sons of Noah, that went forth of
the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and
Japheth: and Ham is the father of
Canaan.â â Genesis 9:18.
58. THE CURSE OF CANAAN
And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: And he
drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his
two brethren without. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it
upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness
of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their
fatherâs nakedness. And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his
younger son had done unto him. And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant
of servants shall he be unto his brethren. And he said, Blessed be the LORD
God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. â Genesis 9:20-26.
59. THE PATTERN
âą Shem is the father of the Israelites through
whom the Messiah comes.
âą Canaan and his brothers are the fathers of the
Nephilim, who live in the land of Canaan and
who seek to destroy the Israelites and the
coming of the Messiah.THE BATTLE
CONTINUES.
60. WHY DOES GOD ALLOWTHIS?
God permitted the Nephilim gene to make it onto the ark because
God allows the consequences of human sin.
If humans sin, they will be judged. If they do not follow Godâs
ways, they invite sin and its inevitable destructive
CONSEQUENCES.
Ham was not a follower of God and he was judged for his sinful
rebellion thru his wife.
The Nephilim nations after the flood are at various times used by God
as judgment against the Israelites for their disobedience.
61. REASONS for Nephilim
after the Flood
âą The earth continues to experience the consequences of the
Fall.
âą The Nephilim are used as means of judgment for
disobedience by Israel.
âą The Nephilim cause the Israelites to rely upon God for
deliverance from evil. This cements relationship between
God and His people.
âą Jesus fights Satan and defeats evil as predicted in Genesis
3:15.This fulfills Godâs prophecy.
63. GENESIS 10:6-12
Now Cush became the father of Nimrod; he became a
mighty one on the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord;
therefore it is said, âLike Nimrod a mighty hunter before the
Lord.â
The beginning of his kingdom was Babeland Erech and Accad and
Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
From that land he went forth into Assyria, and built Nineveh and
Rehoboth-Ir and Calah,
and Resen between Nineveh and Calah; that is the great city.
65. GOD ONCE AGAIN
JUDGES EVIL
âą Now the whole earth had one language and the same
words. And as they migrated from the east, they came upon
a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. And they said
to one another, âCome, let us make bricks, and burn them
thoroughly.â And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for
mortar. Then they said, âCome, let us build ourselves a city,
and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a
name for ourselves; otherwise we shall be scattered abroad
upon the face of the whole earth.â Genesis 11:1-4
66. âą The Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which mortals
had built. And the Lord said, âLook, they are one people, and they
have all one language; and this is only the beginning of what they
will do; nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for
them. Come, let us go down, and confuse their language there, so
that they will not understand one anotherâs speech.â So the Lord
scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the
earth, and they left off building the city. Therefore it was called
Babel, because there the Lord confused[a] the language of all the
earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the
face of all the earth. Gen. 11
71. ABRAHAM CALLEDTOTAKETHE CANAANITESâ LAND
âą Now the Lord said to Abram, âGo from your country and your kindred and your
fatherâs house to the land that I will show you. I will make of you a great
nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great, so that you will be a
blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse;
and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
âą So Abram went, as the Lord had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was
seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. 5 Abram took his wife Sarai
and his brotherâs son Lot, and all the possessions that they had gathered, and the
persons whom they had acquired in Haran; and they set forth to go to the land of
Canaan. When they had come to the land of Canaan, Abram passed through the
land to the place at Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. At that time the
Canaanites were in the land. Then the Lord appeared to Abram, and
said, âTo your offspring I will give this land.â So he built there an altar
to the Lord, who had appeared to him. Genesis 12:1-7
73. GIANTS INTHE LANDâŠ
AndCaleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and
possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. But the men that went up with him
said,We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. 32
And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the
children of Israel, saying,The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land
that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of
a great stature. And there we saw the giants, the sons of
Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our
own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their
sight. âNumbers 13:31-33.
76. Jesus Fights the Nephilim
Then we turned north and took the road to Bashan. Og king of Bashan, he and all his
people, came out to meet us in battle at Edrei.
God said to me, âDonât be afraid of him; Iâm turning him over to you, along with his whole army
and his land. Treat him the way you treated Sihon king of the Amorites who ruled
from Heshbon.â
So God, our God, also handed Og king of Bashan over to usâOg and all
his peopleâand we utterly crushed them. Again, no survivors. At the same time we took all
his cities. There wasnât one of the sixty cities that we didnât takeâthe whole region of
Argob, Ogâs kingdom in Bashan. All these cities were fortress cities with high walls and barred
gates. There were also numerous unwalled villages. We totally destroyed themâa holy
destruction. It was the same treatment we gave to Sihon king of Heshbon, a holy destruction of
every city, man, woman, and child. But all the livestock and plunder from the cities we took for
ourselves. Deuteronomy 3:1-7
77. Help Comes from the Lord
âWhen the Lord yourGod brings you into the land you are about
to enter and occupy, he will clear away many nations ahead of
you: the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites,
Hivites, and Jebusites. These seven nations are greater and
more numerous than you. When the Lord yourGod hands these
nations over to you and you conquer them, you must
completely destroy them. Make no treaties with them and show
them no mercy. You must not intermarry with them. Do not let
your daughters and sons marry their sons and daughters,
Deuteronomy 7:1-3
79. SOWHY HAVENâT OUR
PASTORSTAUGHTTHIS?
âą St. Augustine in the 5th century wrote an
influential commentary declaring that the
âsons of Godâ were âsons of Seth.â
âą He also claimed that the daughters of men
come from the line of Cain, but there is no
Scriptural basis for this.
80. Further misinformation
âą John Calvin in the 17th century relied on St.
Augustineâs writings and claimed that angels
mating with humans was absurd.
(Note: Sons of God could not be sons of Seth
because Seth was a son of Adam, not God. See
Genesis 5)
81. The Internet Age and
the Information Age
Brings the restoring of ancient
documents and Jewish Rabbinical
tradition.
Jewish commentaries on the Old
Testament reflect Nephilim are
half-breeds.
82. Half-breeds at the end of time?
As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the
disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they
said, "when will this happen, and what will be
the sign of your coming and
of the end of the age?â
Matthew 24:3
83. Coming Judgment of the Earth
âAs it was in the days of Noah,
so it will be at the coming
of the Son of Man.â
Matthew 24:37
84. Believers will be in the ark of
Christ and will avoid the judgment
of God on the earth.
85. Psalm 46
God is our refuge and strength,âš always ready to help in times of trouble.
So we will not fear when earthquakes comeâš and the mountains crumble into the sea.
Let the oceans roar and foam.âš Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Interlude
A river brings joy to the city of our God,âš the sacred home of the Most High.
God dwells in that city; it cannot be destroyed.âš From the very break of day, God will protect it.
The nations are in chaos,âš and their kingdoms crumble!âšGodâsvoice thunders,âš and the earth melts!
The Lord of Heavenâs Armies is here among us;âš the God of Israel is our fortress.
Come, see the glorious works of the Lord:âš See how he brings destruction upon the world.
He causes wars to end throughout the earth.âš He breaks the bow and snaps the spear;âš he burns the shields with fire.
âBe still, and know that I am God!âš I will be honored by every nation.âš I will be honored throughout the world.â
The Lord of Heavenâs Armies is here among us;âš the God of Israel is our fortress.
