Introduction
• A consultant for The C Coach, Kathy Levinson helps startup
companies and nonprofit leaders develop sound leadership skills
and business strategies. Kathy Levinson, demonstrating excellence
in her field, was recognized as one of the winners of the 2013 Fems
with Fervor Award.
Each year, IGNITE, a women’s political organization, hosts Fems
with Fervor to celebrate five women making a positive impact in
politics and civic leadership. The event includes an evening
ceremony with inspiring stories from influential individuals as well
as food and entertainment. In 2014, awards were given to the
founder of Band of Women, an advocate for righting social injustice,
a filmmaker tackling progressive issues, the creator of the API
Political Change Award, and a student demonstrating commitment
to political leadership.

Fems with Fervor
• The following year, guests gathered at the Roe Lounge in
San Francisco to honor a new class of Fems with Fervor
recipients. IGNITE’s youngest winner was the student
body president at Wilson Prep in Oakland. The first non-
senior president, she promotes feminism and garners
inspiration for IGNITE to get involved with advocacy
initiatives. The manager of public policy, community,
and government affairs at Google also received
recognition for dedicating time to establish advisory
groups addressing subjects impacting the LGBT and
Middle Eastern communities and serving on San
Francisco's Democratic County Central Committee as an
appointed member.
