In today's socitey people are looking for more than just texts. People want to be engaged through visuals, wether that be images or videos. The average user is not fully aware of a post if it just includes words.

Importance:
-Sometimes when you are on Pinterest other people may see something that should be on that board. Having a group board allows people to directly add those images without leaving to just one person to do. In an organization this is important! Everyone has multiple ideas and this is a way to easily do so without having to call up the person in charge of your organizations Pinterest.
