2. • The Valley and Ridge is located in Northwest
Georgia.
• Ridge and valley are split into 4 parts– the
Cumberland plateau, Chickamauga valley,
Armuchee ridges, and the Great valley.
• Some plants may vary depending on moisture, soil
type , and elevation.
3. Most of the land is covered by forest. The
valleys are divided by limestone capped
ridges.
Low open valleys and narrow ridges run
parallel.
There are flat farmlands that have grain
pastures of cows and orchards of apples.
4. The Ridge and valley is a great place for bird
watchers. Birds include worm eating warbler, Red
tail hawk cardinals and many other bird species.
