Logyx LLC – MountainViewCalifornia,Personal Office inRanchoCucamonga,California –January2012 to June
2013
Senior System Engineer, proposal/project developer, proposal writer/new business consultant. I developed
business and personnel resource management practices tailored specifically for Logyx LLC in order to build
companyinteractions with Government and commercial sponsors. These guidelines included special attention
towardsrequirementsgenerationandverificationandvalidationpracticesthatare quantifiable inordertoensure
that products met customer standards and eliminated misunderstandings. Further attention was focused on
leadership and communications/staffing efficiencies, risk identification, avoidance and containment.
2. Manager for (NASA/JPL) Center Partnering and Flight Opportunities, Mission Science Directorate, Jet
Propulsion Laboratory – Pasadena, CA - January 2009 to January 2012
Task Leaderforcommercial technology concept evaluations targeted to improve satellite deep-space and near-
earthcommunications anddataprocessingcapabilitiesforthe DeepSpace Network (DSN). I performed proposal
developments topromote more efficientcommunicationanddatadisseminationmethods for the DSN. Over this
time period I also championed new approaches for payload management and crew safety on board the
International Space Station (ISS) with a focus on payload and crew “situational awareness”, crew safety and
payload operations.
ProjectManager workingonthe behalf of the PaloAltoResearchCenter(PARC), teamingwiththe JetPropulsion
Laboratory (JPL), andthe NASA AmesResearchCenter(ARC) engagedina“technology race”thatwas solicitedby
the Defense AdvancedResearchProgramAgency (DARPA) inordertovalidate conceptual ideas of multiple
spacecraftcollaboratingand operatingas a single entity (F6). Thiseffortfocused“technically”onmicro-Satellite
developmentand cooperative autonomous operations. Myrole was to leadteamstodefine uniquerisk
containmentandoperational strategiesforcollaborative,cooperative, combativeanddistributedspacecraft
systems inorbitaroundthe Earth.
Manager for Technology Infusion and Flight Validation, System Modeling and Analysis Program Office, Jet
Propulsion Laboratory – Pasadena CA – August 1998 through January 2009 (Multiple Roles)
Liaison betweenNASAAmesResearch Center(ARC),NASA DrydenFlight ResearchCenter (DFRC), and the NASA
Caltech/Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). This opportunity promoted partnering and competitive market
arrangements. Asa fieldagentIsetthe stage for new technologydevelopments,Programsand Projects between
NASA Centersandcommercial/industrialpartners. Thisworkincludedstrategic alliance planningandcompetitive
market analysis and substantial interactions with partnering agencies across the United States.

commercial andGovernmentsettings. Thisworkwasperformedunderthe NASA Engineeringof Complex Systems
Program managedjointlyby the JetPropulsionLaboratory andthe GoddardSpace FlightCenter, andNASA HQ.
Overthistime period, Ialsomanageda multi-institutional teamof NASA engineers, testpilots, technologists, and
industrypartnersthatsuccessfullydemonstrated the feasibility IntegratedSystemHealthManagement(ISHM)

workedwith ateam contractingto the Federal AviationAdministrationincreatinga“shadow”systemthat
demonstrated thatsolid-state technologiescouldsafelyreplace mechanical switchingsystems, software, and
operations, withoutdowntime orre-trainingimpactsoncommercial ormilitaryair trafficcontrol. Once
demonstratedtobe feasible, thisworkledtoacomplete overhaul of the airtrafficcontrol infrastructure atthe
