From February 28 to March 3, 2018, thousands of people flocked to
the Salt PalaceConventionCenter in Salt LakeCity for RootsTech
2018, the largest family history conference in the world. President
Dallin H. Oaks of the First Presidency of LDS and his wife Kristen
were among the keynote speakers of the event. In his talk,
President Oaks noted that, “We are all part of one great family
under God, our Heavenly Father.“

• Expert and beginner genealogists from the United States and other
countries were among the attendees of the annual event, which
this year featured 200 breakout sessions, the Innovation Show, and
over 200 displays in the large exhibition hall.A musical production,
“My Family, Mi Herencia,“ served as the conference’s closing
activity on Saturday evening and featured a cast of 1,000
performers.
FamilySearch hosted RootsTech 2018.The nonprofit is the world’s
largest genealogy organization and millions of people use its
service, free of charge, to learn more about their family lineage.
LDS is the primary benefactor of FamilySearch.
