Gilson Pond Campground Design (Project Engineer)
Project Engineer, designed first NH State Park campground to
be added to State Park Systemin over 40years. Unique
campground, located in MonadnockState Park (home of
most-climbed mountainin North America) employed some
innovative designapproaches. Tasksinclude survey ofnearly
60 acres ofwooded terrain, designof access and looproads,
parking areas for hikers and campers, locationof40
campsites,drainage, water and electrical utilities, tollbooth,
shower/store facility locating and layout, coordinationof
septic systemdesign. Extensive fieldwork performed to ensure
that proposed campsites would incorporate and preserve
natural environmental features. The end resulthas been an
intensely popular, rustic campground with character
consistent with vision ofPark Manager, Client, and State Park
Master Plan. The GilsonPond Campground has been
recognized as a “…gem through and through” in Lafe Low’s
book Best Tent Camping: New England: Your Car-Camping
Guide to Scenic Beauty, the Sounds of Nature, and an Escape

Mascoma River Greenway, Lebanon, New Hampshire
Project Engineer for the Central Segment of the City of
Lebanon’s planned Mascoma River Greenway. The project, is
a 2-mile sectionofnew rail trail, including improvements to 4
bridges. Designed all elements in Civil 3D and automated
quantity takeoff by designing and developing custom
subassemblies specifically for the project.
Mechanic Street, Lebanon, New Hampshire
Project Engineer designing roadway and accessibility
improvements for 1.5 milesoftwo lane urbanroadway
utilizing Complete Streets methodology.
Slayton Hill Road, Lebanon, New Hampshire
Lead civil designfor emergency roadway reconstruction
project in Lebanon. Investigated the causesofextensive storm
damage along a 2-mile section ofrural roadway resulting
from back to back rain events in 2013. Designed elements to
restore access and provide drainage and resiliency upgrades.

Dulac Street Roadway Reconstruction, Lebanon, New

response to catastrophic storm damage.
I-95/I-93/University AvenueInterchanges and I-95
Widening. Project, Massachusetts
Led design modeling and Civil 3D customizationfor the
project. Mentored staff in Civil 3D design workflows. Using
Subassembly Composer, created modular retaining wall
subassemblies to improve the way our civil and structural
engineers collaborate together. Saved countlesshours on
producing developed wall elevations, reducing manual
drafting on cross sections, automating earthwork and
materials take offwith visual checks and balancesto satisfy
concerns for reliability/accuracy of the data.
Broad Street Parkway Project, Nashua, New Hampshire
Led Civil 3D modeling effort for the new $36 milliontwo-mile
long, two-lane urbanarterial roadway. Participated in
drainage design, grading BMP’s and integrating into overall
designmodel. Responsible for developing and implementing
designworkflows and training staff.
NH Route 104 and Route 25 Corridor Studies: Bristol,
New Hampton, Meredith, Center Harbor and
Moultonborough, New Hampshire (Project
Manager/Project Engineer)
In 2007 and 2008, the Lakes Region Planning Commission
(LRPC) conducted corridor studies for State routes104 and 25,
w hich comprise a primary east-westconnector thatis critical
to the region. LRPC’s intent for the studies was to assess
current conditions and future traffic demand related to
potential land uses and development, identify potential safety
improvements and outline future strategies related to corridor
preservationand accessmanagementalong the corridor.
Responsible for organizing and conducting field
reconnaissance to identify and prioritize problem areas based
on issues of public safety. Managed efforts ofproduction staff
to developeffective graphics and coordinated with traffic
engineer/planner to prepare supporting technical
memorandum geared towards the generationoflocal,
community-level support for the future safety improvements
projects.

TE Program project in a National Register Listed historic
village area. Designed sidewalk, roadway and drainage
improvements in anarea constrained by rightofway,
topography, and historic features. Assisted the Town in their
successful exemption fromthe Comprehensive Shoreland
Protection Act, and their successful TE grant applicationfor
Phase II. Successfully designed and bid Phase II project which
is currently under construction.
Chocorua Village Safety Improvements, Tamworth, New
Hampshire (Project Manager / Project Engineer)
Project Manager / Project Engineer for Municipally Managed
TE Program project in a National Register-Eligible historic
village area. Evaluated and designed traffic calming,
intersection improvements, pedestrianand vehicular
circulationand safety improvements onRoute 16 through the
historic Chocorua Village area of Tamworth. Coordinated
project wide survey, traffic, structural, historic preservation,
environmental and landscaping for the context sensitive
design. Successfully obtained a Watershed Improvement
Grant from NHDES onbehalf ofthe Town for the design and
constructionof a “bio-retentionarea”. This Low Impact
systemwasintegrated with anNHDOT-standard closed
drainage system onthe site of a recently demolished building.
Route 101 Traffic Calming, Dublin, New Hampshire
(Project Manager / Project Engineer)
Project Manager / Project Engineer for Municipally Managed
TE Program project in the DublinVillage area (listed onthe
National Register of Historic Places). Conducted the first
phase of the project as a NHDOT Context Sensitive Solutions
Pilot Project to study alternatives and create a Master
Improvements Plan forthe Route 101 corridor through Dublin
TownCenter. Coordinated efforts of engineers,surveyors,
landscape historian/architect, preservationconsultant and
traffic calming specialists as well as public and private
agencies and interestgroups to bring the firstphase through
the design and bidding process. Played anintegral role in the
Town’s successful acquisitionofboth a Safe Route’sto School
Grant, and a TE Grant for Phase II. Successfully designed and
permitted Phase II which is currently outto bid for
construction.

Conducted the first phase of the project as a NHDOT Context Sensitive Solutions Pilot Project to study alternatives and create a Master Improvements Plan forthe Route 101 corridor through Dublin TownCenter. Coordinated efforts of engineers,surveyors, landscape historian/architect, preservationconsultant and traffic calming specialists as well as public and private agencies and interestgroups to bring the firstphase through the design and bidding process.
