22. Laughter Yoga
Laughter Yoga is a
revolutionary idea – simple and
profound. An exercise routine,
it is sweeping the world and is a
complete wellbeing workout
23. The brainchild of Dr. Madan Kataria, a
Medical Doctor from Mumbai, India,
launched the first Laughter Club at a Park
on March 13, 1995, with merely 5 people.
Today, it has become a worldwide
phenomenon with more than 7500 Social
Laughter Clubs in about
70 countries
24.
25.
26. Laughter Yoga combines Unconditional
Laughter with Yogic Breathing
(Pranayama).
Anyone can Laugh for No Reason, without
relying on humor, jokes or comedy.
Laughter is simulated as a body exercise in
a group; with eye contact and childlike
playfulness, it soon turns into real and
contagious laughter
27. The concept of
Laughter Yoga is
based on a scientific
fact that the body
cannot differentiate
between fake and
real laughter. One
gets the same
physiological and
psychological
benefits.
28. The goal of Laughter Yoga
is to bring good health, joy
and world peace through
Laughter..
29. Theory of Motion Creates
Emotion
How do
you laugh ,
when you
are in no
mood ?
30. There is a well-established link
between the Body and the Mind.
Whatever happens to the Mind
happens to the Body as well. If you
observe sad and depressed people,
their bodies are also depressed. They
walk slowly, talk slowly and their
body functions are slow and sluggish
31. The opposite is also true; whatever
happens to the Body also happens to
the Mind. If you’re sad, don't sit
idle.
Keep doing some physical work or
go for a walk and jog, you will feel
better’.
32. Even when unhappy,
behaving or acting
happy will bring the
mind to a state of
happiness. Bring
laughter to your
Body and your Mind
will soon follow.
38. Teen stress is an important health issue.
They are faced with demands of college
and parents to perform and achieve
goals that may be unrealistic.
Not meeting these goals often leads to
anxiety that is detrimental to physical
and mental health, in some cases even
resulting in suicidal tendencies.
39. Major Teen Stressors
Puberty: The child changes physically and
emotionally at the onset of puberty. Even the
child's attitude towards his or her parents is likely
to change. Often, children think their parents are
hopeless, old-fashioned. In return, parents may
find their child cheeky and sullen. Obviously, it can
be a time of conflict between parents and children.
In fact, it may be more alarming to the parents if
there are no conflicts at all, as it may be a sign that
their child is hiding their problems, which can lead
to suppressed feelings and emotions
40. Extended hearty
laughter induced by
Laughter Yoga is
extremely beneficial
as it helps to release
these pent up feelings
and emotions from
the sub-conscious
mind through effective
emotional catharsis.
41. Parental Inconsistency: During this
transitional phase parents raise their
expectations and become quite inconsistent
in their behavior. They sometimes want their
children to behave like kids and sometimes
like adults. 'Don't do this, you're a kid'; 'You
can do this, you're big enough'. These
instructions send confusing signals to children
and they become self protective and draw
back into their shell.
42. Laughter helps to
dissipate thoughts of
distrust and hostility
arising out of
continuous
confrontations with
parents. Laughter
releases endorphins
that kick starts good
feelings and changes
the mood state almost
immediately.
43. Laughter Yoga is a physical exercise that
works on the body and mind simultaneously.
It boosts systems that are 'switched off' or
disrupted by stress, especially the circulatory
and digestive systems. It stimulates
willingness to learn and retention improves
creativity and self discipline. It provides tools
to deal with stressful situations in new ways,
providing an alternative to anger and
aggression and resulting fear.
44. Laughter is indeed the best medicine
for both young and teenage
children. in the educational context
laughter boosting is used to prepare
students for examinations, and also
to prepare sports teams for optimal
performance before competition
