Part 1: The Internet of Everything: How technology can help expand business opportunity
Access to the online world of the Internet is a business-driven decision process. Therefore, there are a
variety of reasons why there are regional variations in broadband. There are needs in rural and urban
communities alike.
Part II: Bridging the gap with icXchange® technology
icXchange® technology enables more users on smaller connections to ensure an increase in the use and

The Internet of Everything: How technology can help expand business opportunity
“The state can often serve a very useful function as a convener of parties, and as a catalyst at the community level. Having the state take the lead early also helps
you stay away from rural-urban antagonism,” says John Horrigan, currently a vice-president
at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies at the Washington,
D.C.-based Media and Technology Institute, given the competing needs of urban and
rural users.
Broadband has a major financial impact
The availability of broadband has a major impact on small business growth and
profitability. Businesses gain access to lower cost hosted services and tools, they gain a
competitive edge as well as exposure to a larger national and sometime international
clientele. Therefore, broadband becomes a key factor in the socio-economic formula
for local business development.

The demand to connect continues to grow
The business impact of broadband is further complimented by the continued explosion of
online users. Regardless of the category of device, users are getting online and using the
internet as an integral mix for their shopping, services, and daily 'hang out' spots. If a local
business is not online, then they'll eventually see a shift in demand from their establishments to
a more online community...communities that might not cater to their local businesses and
economy. The competitive landscape is no longer around the block, but around the globe.
Therefore, being online and catering to the needs of local businesses is central to survival of the
general community. That connection is a central part of the icXchange® platform that's
designed to provide efficient access and tools to a greater numbers of small businesses.

5. Part II: Bridging the gap with icXchange® technology
The icXchange® technology platform is a software-driven system designed to increase IP data efficiency thus allowing more devices or improved experience and
services over a connection. To accomplish maximum efficiency, these advanced software capabilities are included on ICC branded Ethernet Switches, Enterprise
Wireless Solutions, and other IP data networking connectivity components.
icXchange® Connectivity
The new railroads of our day are not seen, but are high
speed wireless connections carrying Video, Voice, and
Data communication. If small businesses don't get on
board or can't effectively afford to get on the train, they
miss out on the growing opportunities that ensure local
business and community survival.
ICC's icXchange® enterprise wired and wireless
connectivity solution provides communities with small
citywide wireless mobility coverage. The system allows
outdoor wireless bridging systems to connect long
ranges across the city, while also connecting into each
building facility to provide in-building connectivity to
small businesses. The system uses a single larger
broadband connection as a main point for online
connectivity. The subsequent city coverage connects to
each small business providing a lower cost option for
the whole community. Completely managed, the system helps the business community to better control their cost instead of facing constant and individual
cable/dsl fee increases. The business community would also have access to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) to keep phone costs down.
The icXchange® solution balances network performance to ensure efficiency and advanced features. The system's advanced features such as Wireless Intrusion
Detection Systems, Layer 3 Segmentation, Quality-of-Service, Remote Management, Private Cloud Wireless Configuration and Management, and many others
provide the necessary feature set for a complete system from outside, front-of-store hotspot, to in-building high speed performance networking for more
complex business requirements. There are multiple redundancy to ensure your small business is always connected.
6. icXchange® Flexibility
Designed to grow with a business, the icXchange® solution can start with the smallest of local
businesses and as they grow, the system expands to fit their needs. The system enables the
smallest deli shop needing a hotspot to a medium business adding smart devices to increase
efficiency, to larger businesses needing to reduce cost for multi-location deployments.
The single system allows for local customers to be part of the same network. This means that
residents can be on the same system at home, in the local coffee shop, butcher shop, lumber
yard, etc. icXchange® allows for a completely separate network to support potential clients of
local small businesses to be on the network while at home or being a patron of that small
business. By tying the business and the customer together in this age of social media, it
increases business for the local SMB. It also means that customers will tend to stay closer to
the local small business due to ease of use, familiarity, and ability to have the same online searching they find at bigger competitors.
7. Part III: The value of being connected
Local businesses can't participate in the new economy if they're
not sufficiently connected and that connection can't be overly
expensive. icXchange® delivers a flexible solution that starts
small and grows with local businesses. Delivering performance,
options for local clients, and the ability to deliver the best-in-class
price for performance, the solution is an enabling force for small
business growth.
The system also provides tools for small business to growth their
business without needing costly online and marketing firms. The
services side of the icXchange® platform allows local businesses
to have special login pages for clients, run local coupons, and
numerous other marketing activities designed to grow their
business. The tool is designed to offer a complete connection
and communication for small business to compete in the new economy, as well as stay connected with the most advanced technology.
