8. History In 1908 Nathan B. Stubblefeild started to create the cell phone using “cave radio” telephones. It was then later invented in 1947 by Bell labs who are engineers at AT&T. When researchers realized they could create a small mobile phone using cells. They got this idea from looking at car phones. On April 3, 1973 Martin Cooper created the first hand-held mobile phone used outside a car environment.
