Employee motivation has always been a central problem for leaders and
managers. Unmotivated employees are likely to spend little or no effort in
their jobs, avoid the workplace as much as possible, exit the organization if
given the opportunity and produce low quality work. On the other hand,
employees who feel motivated to work are likely to be persistent, creative and
productive, turning out high quality work that they willingly undertake
 Internal and external factors that stimulate
desire and energy in people to be continually
interested and committed to a job, role or subject,
or to make an effort to attain a goal
DEFINITION
The role of motivation in organizational behavior can have a critical impact on
productivity,workplace atmosphere, and many other areas that help determine an
organization's level of success. Understanding the psychological importance of
motivation can help businesses, schools, sports teams, and other organizations
create a healthy, supportive culture that helps meet organizational goals. Some of
the most important practices that can improve motivation this area include strong
leadership, incentive programs, and fair policies.
THE ROLE OF MOTIVATION
Statement of the Problem
 There is a need for further research on
motivation, therefore my goal is to reveal what
it is that motivates all employees to perform at
their best and achieve optimal business results
at all times. The inherent problem I have
identified is that many employers have
attempted several different incentive programs
tomotivate their employees, yet they have not
worked for everyone in the company. This is a
major problem faced by employers these days,
due to the fact that each employer's company is
founded on the strength of its employees'
performance
One of the most important keys to motivation in
organizationalbehavioris an underlying matrix of fair
policies. If participants feel theyare in a rigged system, they
mayquicklylose the will to participate, as they see little or
nobenefit to it. In an organization where each person has a
fair chance to succeed, a safe place to work, and feels
respected by peers and superiors, it may be easier to
maintain a high level of motivation. Creating and enforcing
strong ethics policiescan help ensure that motivation is not
deterred by unfair practices.

  • 3. Employee motivation has always been a central problem for leaders and managers. Unmotivated employees are likely to spend little or no effort in their jobs, avoid the workplace as much as possible, exit the organization if given the opportunity and produce low quality work. On the other hand, employees who feel motivated to work are likely to be persistent, creative and productive, turning out high quality work that they willingly undertake

Statement of the Problem  There is a need for further research on motivation, therefore my goal is to reveal what it is that motivates all employees to perform at their best and achieve optimal business results at all times. The inherent problem I have identified is that many employers have attempted several different incentive programs tomotivate their employees, yet they have not worked for everyone in the company. This is a major problem faced by employers these days, due to the fact that each employer's company is founded on the strength of its employees' performance

If participants feel theyare in a rigged system, they mayquicklylose the will to participate, as they see little or nobenefit to it. In an organization where each person has a fair chance to succeed, a safe place to work, and feels respected by peers and superiors, it may be easier to maintain a high level of motivation.
