2. The beginning of wacom.1986-
1988
In July, 1986wacom released
the first tablet which was
the wt-460m miniature
tablet also known as the
CAD (control board design)
In September of 1987
wacom began to introduce
the SD series to launch the
professional graphics tablet
.
In June 1988 wacom moved
head quarters to Germany
and was established as a
European sales base and
began trying to develop
more of an electric design.
3. • In 1990 Wacom announced the development of HD–
640A INTEGRATED LIQUID CRYSTAL TABLET.
• In may of 1990 the liquid tablet was launched to the
public. Than later on released in January
1990
• SHORTLY After settling down in Germany WACOM
MOVED HEAD QUARTERS TO VANCOUVER
WASHINGTON.

• In October of 1992 wacom company announced the “UD
series” of professional graphics tablets.
• In April of 1992 wacom announced another
development which was the pen computer “pen top”.

4. Wacom. 1994-1995-1996
1994
• In October of 1994 wacom announced the “Art Pad” for
better consumer graphics.
• Along with the “PL-200” liquid crystal tablet.
1995
• October of 95’ wacom introduced the “Art pad” and the
“US SERIES” with the eraser function.
• In September they also announced the “nenteio” function
with handwritten recognition software.
1996
• In October 1996 “Art pad series II” AND “UD II series” are
adapted with two side switch , twin pressure sensitive pens
built in.
5. 1997-1999
1997
• October of 97 wacom introduced the pro series CAD.
• While the PL-300 was awarded the good design award
1998
• In September wacom announced the intuous professional
graphics tablet.
1999
• In November wacom announced Graphite / favor graphics tablet.
6. 2000-2006
2000
• In June 2000 wacom announced the “PL-500”
2003
• November Announced "SmartScroll SS-100, SS-200" left-handed
input device
• Announced "Visual Coaching System"
2006
• January Announced Wide-size "Intuos3 PTZ-1231W" (active area
A3 size)
• IREX adopted Wacom pen input technology for its e-book device
7. 2008-2010
2008
• January Toshiba and Hewlett-Packard Company (HP) installed
Wacom Penabled DualTouch technology on its notebook PC for
the consumer market
2009
• Fujitsu, Lenovo, and Toshiba adopted one of Wacom Feel IT
Technologies as their notebook PC's input devices
2010
• Started delivery of "DTU-1631 series" interactive pen display
