4. One of the main modes of the transportation of coal is coal trucks . Coal trucks usually travel the highways to take the coal to its destination, power plants. Coal trucks can also take coal to other modes of transportation. Sometimes these trucks travel great distances, even cross-country.
5. Trains are also loaded with coal at the coal plants or the coal is delivered to the trains. Trains complete the process by taking the coal delivered to the power plants.
6. Coal can even travel on water! Trucks deliver coal to coal barges . The barges deliver the coal to the power plants that are located overseas.
