PRODUCT DESIGN

DESIGN BRIEF:
Design a simple chair for kids for age group 6-8 years that can be used by kids
anywhere.

CONCEPT:
Concept came out from an observation that kids generally like to play with everything
therefore many times they also start playing with the furniture around them.

DESIGN FEATURES:
Design is such that chair can be used in three different ways.
Design of chair follows a very basic form and makes it more playful.

DESIGN BRIEF:
Design a chocolate dispenser with the use of plastic materials.

CONCEPT:
Main idea was to make it more interesting and playful so that it can attract every
age group of people to use it more and more.
It’s design is basically based on a ball maze game.

DESIGN FEATURES:
It can contain 25-30 SHOTS at a time.
Very light in weight.
Easily open able and easy to refill.

Design a trophy using metal sheet..

CONCEPT:
Form is such to show the importance of a trophy.
The profile of trophy consist of two parts one is the main panel and
another is a profile that depicts a human profile.
That profile is to show the affection of the winner with his work.

Design a three compartment plate using metaphor from nature.

CONCEPT:
Metaphor was a pearl. And the keywords for designing came out from pearl are as
follows: Standout ,Glow ,delicate.

DESIGN BRIEF:
Design a group housing with 2BHK,,3BHK and 4bhk flats.

CONCEPT:
All the different types of flats are connected to each other through a
common terrace garden on every floor. So that the people living there
can interact to each other and it also provides a large green space to
kids to play.

Basically it was a group exercise.
Exercise was based on building structural system.
The structural system of my group was trabeated and vertical.

CONCEPT: DISCRIPTION OF THE THRUST AREA
•Now a days as the population is increasing so fast, we r left with the very less space on
the ground.

•But obviously everybody needs a shelter to hide him. That is why we started to expand
vertically but when we expand vertically, we start feeling isolated from the ground because
of the lack of open ground/green spaces.

•My thrust area is to resolve the feeling of isolation from the ground by providing the same
elements on the floors above the ground.

•Now here are the problems that I want to resolve by providing these spaces.

•Fulfillment of the need of personal green area,

•Provision of a platform where the people can interact with the nature as well as with each
other.

•Provision of a common platform where the children can perform their informal activities
and interact with each other.

•Opting for a green roof and terrace provided a cost-effective way to improve air quality,
increase energy efficiency, and significantly help to reduce storm water runoff
.
