My Hero Is My Mom
A hero can be defined by anybody based on a particular characteristic that is done "heroically" or is
done by somebody with a heart of gold that was there in time to help and be a hero. But a hero
doesn't have to be a stranger, it can be a friend, family member, or a neighbor from next door who
knows how to help. Basically, anybody can be a hero, but most of the time it'll come from the most
unexpected place and unexpected person.
This a story about my personal hero, my Mom. She has been through a lot, but has never backed
down being really strong, determined, and having a heart of gold because she's a good person who
has done the right thing. My mom is an amazing person for all of the things she did to support not
just herself, but two children while going to college, and working three different jobs to have
everything she needed to take care of her beautiful, little angels.
My mom went through an interesting hardship when she was raising two kids, working three jobs,
and going to College at the same time when my sister and I were very young. This was a grueling,
yet an exciting endeavor that my mom went through when living in Williston in the early 90s even
after I was born, going to school and working long hours to support her and her children.
In the year 2000 of January, I was born. But that didn't stop my mom from working or going to
school because she worked harder for all of us to have a future and she didn't stop no matter what
happened even if it was something

My Hero Is My Family
My hero in a family of many
I believe that heroes exist in everyone's life. Heroes are people who are willing to risk their life
without considering or even acknowledging there is a reward, whether it be a physical or mental
one. Heroes are lifesavers who are in the right place at the right time to help a person who is in need.
I know heroes are in my life because I've been saved time and time again by my hero. My hero is
someone that has always been there for me in my time of need to help me through tough times. My
hero is my mother. My family has always been there for me through tough times when I need them.
My mom doesn't always give me all the answers but she puts me down the right path. While, my

That's one reason my mom is my hero. Another story I can think of when my mom was a hero for
me was back in 10th grade when I got one of my worst injury years possible. The first one I had to
go through was super early in the year. It was during my first junior varsity game of the season,
and we were facing the spuds, or as everyone calls them the mashed potatoes. We were five
minutes into the game and I hurt my ankle. When I went to the trainer, after being helped off the
field, the trainer told me he thought I had broken my ankle, during this my mom was right there
helping comfort me. We went to the doctor after the game had finished and after a long couple
hours they had told me it was only a bad ankle sprain. After doing rehab for what seems like forever
I had finally got cleared to return to playing after 4–5 weeks. Once the football season was over and
wrestling I had started lifting to try to get back to pre–injury form and get better. During one of our
max out days I had one–hundred and eighty–five pounds I had attempted to do it , when I did my
elbow landed on my knee and I thought I broke my wrist. During this it was my mom that was there
to bring me to the doctor and help me get through another big injury.
In my eyes heroes do exist they can be anyone that does something for the benefits for others. My
mom , for example, is always been there for me to help get me through my injuries as moral
support, and my mom is just one

Personal Narrative: My Mom Is My Hero
When you get think of a hero you usually think of batman or superman, but when I think of a
hero I think of, someone who is always there for me, supportive, kind, loving person is what I
describe a hero. I don't know where I would be in my life right now if it wasn't for my her she has
taught me my rights and wrongs, my do's and don'ts, even though we have ups and downs I can't
imagine what my life would've been without my Michigan Hero, my mom. I remember when I
was little my mom would Chase me around tickling me until I couldn't breathe and my face was
bright red, I would try to hide in my closet but she would always find me, and I would end up
getting tickled. Or when we would play hide and seek she would always come up with somewhere
to hide to the point where I could never find her until...show more content...
For example, I've wanted to be an Olympian since I was a little girl and my mom has done
everything she can do get me to fulfill my dream. My mom comes to all my meets pays for all my
practices and still has time to help me with whatever I need. Even though she has bad days she is
always supporting me no matter what happens. My mom has also Been supportive for all the
sports I play like, basketball, softball, volleyball, and dance. As you may know these sports can be
kind of expensive, but my mom still pays for it so I can participate. My mom has took time off of
work so she can come watch me play, she has cancelled important things, just for me. I still
remember my dance recital I was doing a backhand spring in the dance, my mom was so happy to
see me perform I think she was crying. As you can see my mom will do just about anything so that
she can see me play the sports I love. As you can see in all these paragraphs a true hero does not
have to have a cape or have rocket hands, a true hero can be, a loving, supportive, kind person all
these things show a perfect reflection of my mom, my true

My Mom Is A Hero : My Hero
When people think of the word hero, most people think of that fantasy character who defeats the
villain and protects the city. Maybe one who was chosen before time to fight crime. Or like Spider
Man who soars around the city and uses his talents to defeat the "bad guy". Most people think a
hero could never mess up or are only in the fantasy land or world, but they are wrong. Ahero is
someone who is selfless and uses his characteristics and talents to help others grow in all areas of
someone's life. My Mom is my hero because she is hardworking, sacrificial and loving.
My Mom has many heroic traits, but one is hardworking. My Mom works the hardest in our
family. Sometimes I take the things she does for me for granted, but I should not. My mom
makes dinner every night, helps all of us get what we need for the week , cleans the house and
even more I can not even explain. If she's not at work, then she is working hard all day to make
sure everything is set for the week and even months to come. She never gives up and always
perseveres in her work. She works with 110% and does her absolute best for our family and
friends. If it is not physical work, then it is mental work. That means that she may not be working
hands on, but she is definitely thinking about what to do next, what to do better or even what can
benefit our household and help us all grow closer as a family. There's never a dull moment where
my Mom is not hardworking.
Not only is my Mom hardworking, but she is

My mom is my Michigan hero. She motivates me to work hard in everything I do. For example,
she makes me do my homework with her so she knows I try my hardest. She works very hard for
our family, as well as my dad. She's taught me that even if I don't enjoy something I should still try
my hardest, because who knows, maybe I will end up liking it later on in life. An example of this
is when she told me to try dirt biking, and I ended up falling in love with it. Sometimes we would
just sit on our deck, and talk for a while. My mom does tons of things for me. For example, she
makes me breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She also does my laundry and packs me food for school. She
says that I can achieve any goal if I work hard enough at it. She supports

My Hero My hero is one that is very close to me. My hero is the person that gave birth to me. My
hero is my mother. I chose my mom as my hero because to me that is what she is and more. My
mom is literally the backbone in the family. She takes care of everything in the family and around
the house. Before I began to drive my mom would take me everywhere. My mother like many others
has been to the moon and back just to help me. She is such a kind person, she gives me advice
about anything, she is always helping me convince my dad about anything, and most importantly she
helps me get away with everything. My mom is not just my mother she is more than that, she is like

When she got here from Cuba she immediately looked for a job so that my dad wouldn't have to
work 24 hours driving a truck all over the Florida to get money. So he kept his day shift and she
got a night shift at a station. She was there for about a year then she began to study to become a
beautician and she achieved in doing so. It took too many hours away from me so she left her job
to take care of elderly people during the day and clean peoples homes during the weekends to
make a little extra money. She didn't want my dad to have me to himself all night long she
wanted that quality time with me. I can even explain how much I appreciate all the things she did
for me. I understand now how hard it was for them to spend time with me and get money. I
remember that my first christmas in America I literally got nothing because my parents couldn't
afford it, basically they couldn't afford anything. There was even a time where they both had to
work full day shifts just to be able to pay the rent. My mom worked in everything she could find
and everything she did, she did more than good. My mom had never worked a day in her life until
she got to America. She did it because she couldn't bare to watch my dad kill himself at work and
her do nothing. Though she may sometimes get annoyed by me, I always demonstrate affection
towards her. She even gets mad sometimes but I don't care because she gets over it soon enough.

My Hero : My Mother As A Hero
Everybody has heard of a hero and needs a hero in their life. From Clark Kent really being Superman
to Paul in the new movie "Downsizing", there are everyman heroes to superheroes. In my eyes, I
see my mother as a hero. She's not just a hero to me. She's a hero to plenty of people in her life.
She's my personal hero because of her journey. That would categorize her as an everyman hero
because she's relatable to everyman and woman. To illustrate her heroic journey, I would have to
start at the beginning.
The beginning is before she had her stroke. Ten years ago, my brother was about to graduate high
school and my mother was living a healthy, fulfilling life or so she thought. My mother was known
for outdrinking the men and partying hard. She didn't allow being a mother prevent her from
having a good time. She favored having so much of a good time that she neglected my brother and
I. This was her ordinary world.
Three months after my brother graduated, my mother had a terrible stroke. It was so terrible it
left her right side entirely paralyzed. She found herself disabled, not able to speak, and having to
learn how to do the basic motor skills all over again. It's as if someone pressed a reset button on her
life. My mother was devastated as was I. As you may have guessed it, this was her call to adventure.
And of course, like most people before her, she refused to adapt to a new way of living. No longer
able to party, she had to rely on someone to care for her. For the

My Two Main Reasons Why My Mom Is My Hero
Somebody I care about is my mom. I care about her because she takes care of me when I am sick.
She buys me the things I need. She is a great mom. The first reason I care about my mom is
because she takes care of me when I am sick. I had my appendix taken out, and she would get me
my drinks. She would bring me my food when I was hungry. She never left my side. She would
not let me do anything for myself for a while. When I was supposed to start doing things, she still
would not let me do much. When I was at the hospital I could not get out of bed or she would get
mad at me. The second reason I care about my mom is she buys me what I need. This does not
mean I always get what I want but I do get what I need. She buys my school supplies. She

Hero
As we grow up soaring through life, we hold on to our inspirations and motivators. A hero is
someone that inspires me to do my best, someone that I can look up to and someone that truly
understands me. My mom is my hero. She is my mentor, my rock and my support system. A mother's
love is rare and wonderful; that nothing can replace the space she has in our hearts. She has been
nothing but influential and the center of my universe. She never fails to force a smile on my face
and inspire me to greatness. Here's every reason why our mom's are our heroes:
She sacrifices her time for you.Perhaps there are times of frustration our moms go through, but
give them a break. All they want is the very best for you. These women are professionals at
multitasking. She juggles her problems, work and being there for your family at all times. So,
give momma a nice pat on the back the next time she wakes up at 3 A.M. to listen to your
problems. They're the people that will wake up before dawn to make us breakfast and go to sleep
well past sunset just to make sure you're home and in bed safe. Even though they're tired, they still
manage to go about the day with a smile on their face.
She loves you unconditionally. No matter what we do, what mistakes we make, what we say, or
how much we upset them, their love for us will never subside. It will always be unconditional.
We live in a world where sometimes we don't realize how hurtful our words can be. Although she
might take it to heart when you ask her to drop you off a block away from school, she is still
going to love you when you get home. Let's face it, she puts up with your crap. No matter how big
the fight or disagreement, you can always count on her to resolve the issue. Open your heart and
drop the resentments because your mom would much rather hug it out and put it in the past. Her
smile is contagious and you can't help but cave in when you see it.
She's the most selfless person in your life. She thinks of you first, and only you. Day in and day out
they give and don't stop giving. They constantly repeat their daily routines of going to work,
carpooling to soccer games, prepping dinner, folding clothes and being an avid listener to their kids.
She is

Definition Essay On My Hero
There are heroes all around us in life. People have many different views on what characteristics a
hero must have. Personally, I feel that a hero is someone who has traits such as courage,
selflessness, compassion, honesty, and patience. Anyone can choose whomever they want to be
their hero. It could be a fictional character, a motivational speaker, or even a family member. My
definition of a hero is a person who you look up to for having the moral and spiritual characteristics
that I just mentioned. While there are many traits that I believe in, selflessness, compassion, and
honesty, are the most important of all.
In my life, my wonderful mother is truly my hero. She carries all these traits, especially the ones I

Since I was so young I don't remember much of it. That being said, I have always had a split
household, though I spent most of my time with my mother. My mother worked swing shift all
through my life, but she still managed to always be there for me. While my mom worked a busy
schedule, she remained selfless. I feel that my mother was very selfless because she would do
anything and everything for me. I can recall from my very last year of high school that she would get
off at eleven o'clock at night and she would be up with me again at six o'clock in the morning.
She would insist on making my breakfast for me even though I would tell her that she could go
back to bed. I knew very well that she was tired. She still stayed up and made my breakfast for me.
Not only did she make my breakfast she would also pack my lunch for the day. While I looked at
this as "really mom, I can pack my lunch." I had to take a step back and see the big picture. She
was doing it because she wanted to, not because she had to. I am her only child and soon she
wouldn't be doing this anymore. After looking at it that way I understood why she was doing all
that, because she loves me. This shows my mom is selfless because she was putting me before
herself. I was eighteen at the time so she knew that I could handle it, and she very well could have
just stayed in bed but she

My Mother As A Hero
Sitting on my mother's lap has always been the safest place for me. Although she beholds a lovely
image, I imagine her as a fearless warrior ready and armed to attack anyone who dared to touch her
child. I admired my mother's strength as I watched her work for tireless hours, but, furthermore, I
admired her willingness to sacrifice resting time in order to be with my siblings and me. Although my
mother did not have a warrior's armor consisting of a sword and shield, listening to her stories about
Mexico, her love for my father, and their struggle in America, she became that fearless fighter who
protected me and guided me through hardships.
Unlike my mother, I was not fearless. I could not watch horror movies because I would not sleep
for weeks. I could not stand in a pitch black room because I would search frantically for a ray of
light. Many times I would awake terror stricken and call out for my mother, yet due to her night
shifts she would not answer. I would spend entire nights looking at the ceiling, hoping for the sun
to rise, and for my mother to show. These immense fears, which plagued my childhood, have been
the ones to teach me that great courage is needed in life. I would force myself to be brave or to at
least act brave. Not having my mother come to me every time I called for her, made me realize that I
cannot depend on anybody to get me through obstacles, especially, if that obstacle is my own fear.
Going through life I stuck to acting brave.

Growing up, we are all faced with images of Superheroes. Spiderman, Superman, and my personal
favorite, Dash from the Incredibles. A superhero is described by Merriam–Webster's dictionary
online as ": a fictional hero having extraordinary or superhuman powers; also : an exceptionally
skillful or successful person". I can say that I have met a real life superwoman. She changed my life
and taught me such an impactful message that I decided to share with you.. Born to a teen mother,
this superhero in the making faced challenges from the day she was born. My mother experienced
things that most of us only hear or read about. As a toddler she tragically encountered extreme
levels of cruelty and various forms of physical and sexual abuse at the...show more content...
This opened a door to a spiral of choices that included promiscuity, teenage pregnancy and dropping
out of high school. (PAUSE)
People always ask my mother, why on earth she dropped out of high school. She said that at the
time, in her 17–year–old head, it made more sense to be at home protecting her daughter, than
completing her education.
Yes, the person I deem a superhero, my mother, got pregnant at the ripe age of 17, the same age I
am now. My mom became pregnant during her junior year of high school. Not to brag, but, despite
her choices, she was a very gifted student. My mom gave birth to my sister in 1987 after completing
her junior year. Unfortunately, she dropped out of high school during her senior year and with the
support of my grandmother, began to work different jobs to support my sister.
I just want to share that at times, it seems that her decision not to complete school drives my mother
the most. She is maniacal about young women completing their education and pursing advance
degrees. She is especially passionate about her daughters, which of course includes me, completing
their education. But that's fine, it's not like I have ever experienced any "pressure" to succeed. (LOL)
After giving birth to my sister, my mother worked odd jobs for the next few years, and then she
gave birth to me, her second daughter. I often hear that my

The one person that I could never live without, the reason I am standing till this day, is my

mom made a promise to herself, to have full dedication in her school work in order to move to

a great education.
She enjoyed learning and studying in high school. She would lock herself in her room, and sat in a
desk that was in the corner of the room. She would study nonstop, even eating dinner as she read
her books. She was so proud of herself when she did great on all her tests and finals. Her friends
would invite her to go out and eat at the mall, but she would remember the promise she made to
herself, to put all schoolwork before everything, because it was more important. Once she graduated
high school with the highest average of her class, she worked even harder in her college classes. She
enrolled to get a Metical Technology degree because she knew the employers were always needed

My Mother, My Hero
In 1859 Henry Ward Beecher said, "the mother's heart is the child's schoolroom." I believe that
statement because of experiences I've had with my own mother. I have learned more about life from
her than from my 15 years of schooling. Over the last 20 years my mother has taught me many
valuable lessons just by being a living example of compassion, thoughtfulness, and generosity. She is
an angel that has protected and carried me throughout life.
In the book, One Day My Soul Just Opened Up, Iyanla Vanzant said, "a truly compassionate person
is one who can feel what you feel because they are one with you in mind, body, and spirit, not out of
obligation or a false sense of responsibility. A compassionate person is...show more content...
Besides being compassionate my mother is thoughtful. She stays at work late if someone needs
help with theirs. She brings my grandmother dinner and runs errands for her. She is always
putting others before herself. For instance, last year I began singing in the choir at Iowa State. It
was really important to me because singing has always been a passion of mine. She drove to
Ames for every single concert. It meant a lot to me to have her in the audience supporting me.
This year I also started singing in the choir at my church. I was really excited and nervous about
singing the first Sunday so few days before I was going to sing she gave me a beautiful necklace
with a star pendant on it. I remember her warm hug and her telling me good luck and that I was 'her
star'. It touched me that she took time out of her busy schedule to encourage and support things that
she knew were important to me. She could have just wished me well and enjoyed her few minutes of
spare time, but instead she put me first.
The third aspect I admire in my mother is her generosity. She is always buying things for others. We
aren't a rich family by any means, but she is always giving. Just a few weeks ago my mother's
friend was talking about not being able to afford a new winter coat for her son. That night my
mother went out and bought him one. Then about a month ago my mother heard about a woman
who is a recovering drug addict.

she got ahold of the boys hands, swung him around and let go just right so he slid down the hill

my mother as a hero because not only she is physically strong, but also emotionally strong. This
past July, my mother was told by the doctor that she needed to remove a gallstone. When I heard
the news, bad thoughts started to run in my head, about how hard this was going to be and that the
outcome could be bad, but then I realized to think about how strong she was and she overcame the
pain. My mother always hides her pains and she is always positive. She never shows her pains in
front of us. In September, my mom had her surgery, and after a few hours of waiting, myfamily was
told by the doctors that it was successful. My family was thankful that the surgery went well. As my
mother was recovering, she never complained about how she felt when the pain started. She always
had a positive thinking The fact that my

My Hero : My Mother Is A Hero In My Life
Hero Hero. This word can have various meanings to people, ordinarily one of the first ideas that
come to the mind of a few are superheroes like Batman or Spider Man, to others it may be someone
who inspired them like a doctor, although for me a hero is someone who chose to take the
appropriate action even when it is demanding and that person was my mother. With great
determination she gave me a wonderful life as well as a welcoming home. Sacrifices were made
such as opportunities and her health to make sure I had all my needs met. My mother was resilient,
worked hard, and never surrendered; even when all odds were against her. I consider my mother to
be my hero in my life seeing that she made all the right decisions as a mother even when it was
grueling.
Being a mother is one of the hardest jobs out in the world, however it is also one of the most
rewarding jobs. Seeing my mother stressed out and exhausted was the norm for me when I was
little, yet I knew she worked all day to put food on the table and give us a roof over our heads.
Swollen knees from waitressing, my mother barely had time to play with me; but she always had
a golden attitude despite all the challenges with legal issues and my poor health. Having a meal at
McDonald's was a place my mother could watch me play and relax, therefor she wouldn't eat
sometimes so that I could go out and have a meal. Waitressing was her job which she had to miss a
lot as a result of me being ill frequently.
Working in a restaurant was a suitable job with friendly tips and understanding of her situation with
me being unwell constantly. She loved working with people, gave them an affable smile and
attitude. As one of the most adept waitresses around in the waitressing industry, she endured and
plowed through the day's work, even in sultry heat. Exhaustion was eminent on her face when she
arrived home, picked me up from daycare, or school. I recall when her knees would swell up with
fluid and sore feet, my mother worked through lots of injuries to make money. Her attitude remained
upbeat even if she didn't have high energy. Apartments, shelters, and domestic violence shelters were
our homes most of the time when my mother was a single parent. Admiration was my emotion

My Mother Is My Hero Essay

  • 1. My Hero Is My Mom A hero can be defined by anybody based on a particular characteristic that is done "heroically" or is done by somebody with a heart of gold that was there in time to help and be a hero. But a hero doesn't have to be a stranger, it can be a friend, family member, or a neighbor from next door who knows how to help. Basically, anybody can be a hero, but most of the time it'll come from the most unexpected place and unexpected person. This a story about my personal hero, my Mom. She has been through a lot, but has never backed down being really strong, determined, and having a heart of gold because she's a good person who has done the right thing. My mom is an amazing person for all of the things she did to support not just herself, but two children while going to college, and working three different jobs to have everything she needed to take care of her beautiful, little angels. My mom went through an interesting hardship when she was raising two kids, working three jobs, and going to College at the same time when my sister and I were very young. This was a grueling, yet an exciting endeavor that my mom went through when living in Williston in the early 90s even after I was born, going to school and working long hours to support her and her children. In the year 2000 of January, I was born. But that didn't stop my mom from working or going to school because she worked harder for all of us to have a future and she didn't stop no matter what happened even if it was something Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Hero Is My Family My hero in a family of many I believe that heroes exist in everyone's life. Heroes are people who are willing to risk their life without considering or even acknowledging there is a reward, whether it be a physical or mental one. Heroes are lifesavers who are in the right place at the right time to help a person who is in need. I know heroes are in my life because I've been saved time and time again by my hero. My hero is someone that has always been there for me in my time of need to help me through tough times. My hero is my mother. My family has always been there for me through tough times when I need them. My mom doesn't always give me all the answers but she puts me down the right path. While, my mom isn't my whole family or my only...show more content... That's one reason my mom is my hero. Another story I can think of when my mom was a hero for me was back in 10th grade when I got one of my worst injury years possible. The first one I had to go through was super early in the year. It was during my first junior varsity game of the season, and we were facing the spuds, or as everyone calls them the mashed potatoes. We were five minutes into the game and I hurt my ankle. When I went to the trainer, after being helped off the field, the trainer told me he thought I had broken my ankle, during this my mom was right there helping comfort me. We went to the doctor after the game had finished and after a long couple hours they had told me it was only a bad ankle sprain. After doing rehab for what seems like forever I had finally got cleared to return to playing after 4–5 weeks. Once the football season was over and wrestling I had started lifting to try to get back to pre–injury form and get better. During one of our max out days I had one–hundred and eighty–five pounds I had attempted to do it , when I did my elbow landed on my knee and I thought I broke my wrist. During this it was my mom that was there to bring me to the doctor and help me get through another big injury. In my eyes heroes do exist they can be anyone that does something for the benefits for others. My mom , for example, is always been there for me to help get me through my injuries as moral support, and my mom is just one Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Personal Narrative: My Mom Is My Hero When you get think of a hero you usually think of batman or superman, but when I think of a hero I think of, someone who is always there for me, supportive, kind, loving person is what I describe a hero. I don't know where I would be in my life right now if it wasn't for my her she has taught me my rights and wrongs, my do's and don'ts, even though we have ups and downs I can't imagine what my life would've been without my Michigan Hero, my mom. I remember when I was little my mom would Chase me around tickling me until I couldn't breathe and my face was bright red, I would try to hide in my closet but she would always find me, and I would end up getting tickled. Or when we would play hide and seek she would always come up with somewhere to hide to the point where I could never find her until...show more content... For example, I've wanted to be an Olympian since I was a little girl and my mom has done everything she can do get me to fulfill my dream. My mom comes to all my meets pays for all my practices and still has time to help me with whatever I need. Even though she has bad days she is always supporting me no matter what happens. My mom has also Been supportive for all the sports I play like, basketball, softball, volleyball, and dance. As you may know these sports can be kind of expensive, but my mom still pays for it so I can participate. My mom has took time off of work so she can come watch me play, she has cancelled important things, just for me. I still remember my dance recital I was doing a backhand spring in the dance, my mom was so happy to see me perform I think she was crying. As you can see my mom will do just about anything so that she can see me play the sports I love. As you can see in all these paragraphs a true hero does not have to have a cape or have rocket hands, a true hero can be, a loving, supportive, kind person all these things show a perfect reflection of my mom, my true Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My Mom Is A Hero : My Hero When people think of the word hero, most people think of that fantasy character who defeats the villain and protects the city. Maybe one who was chosen before time to fight crime. Or like Spider Man who soars around the city and uses his talents to defeat the "bad guy". Most people think a hero could never mess up or are only in the fantasy land or world, but they are wrong. Ahero is someone who is selfless and uses his characteristics and talents to help others grow in all areas of someone's life. My Mom is my hero because she is hardworking, sacrificial and loving. My Mom has many heroic traits, but one is hardworking. My Mom works the hardest in our family. Sometimes I take the things she does for me for granted, but I should not. My mom makes dinner every night, helps all of us get what we need for the week , cleans the house and even more I can not even explain. If she's not at work, then she is working hard all day to make sure everything is set for the week and even months to come. She never gives up and always perseveres in her work. She works with 110% and does her absolute best for our family and friends. If it is not physical work, then it is mental work. That means that she may not be working hands on, but she is definitely thinking about what to do next, what to do better or even what can benefit our household and help us all grow closer as a family. There's never a dull moment where my Mom is not hardworking. Not only is my Mom hardworking, but she is Get more content on HelpWriting.net

For example, she makes me do my homework with her so she knows I try my hardest. She works very hard for our family, as well as my dad. She's taught me that even if I don't enjoy something I should still try my hardest, because who knows, maybe I will end up liking it later on in life. An example of this is when she told me to try dirt biking, and I ended up falling in love with it. Sometimes we would just sit on our deck, and talk for a while. My mom does tons of things for me. For example, she makes me breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She also does my laundry and packs me food for school. She says that I can achieve any goal if I work hard enough at it. • 6. My Hero Essay My Hero My hero is one that is very close to me. My hero is the person that gave birth to me. My hero is my mother. I chose my mom as my hero because to me that is what she is and more. My mom is literally the backbone in the family. She takes care of everything in the family and around the house. Before I began to drive my mom would take me everywhere. My mother like many others has been to the moon and back just to help me. She is such a kind person, she gives me advice about anything, she is always helping me convince my dad about anything, and most importantly she helps me get away with everything. My mom is not just my mother she is more than that, she is like the best friend I could ever have. I remember the amount of times that...show more content... When she got here from Cuba she immediately looked for a job so that my dad wouldn't have to work 24 hours driving a truck all over the Florida to get money. So he kept his day shift and she got a night shift at a station. She was there for about a year then she began to study to become a beautician and she achieved in doing so. It took too many hours away from me so she left her job to take care of elderly people during the day and clean peoples homes during the weekends to make a little extra money. She didn't want my dad to have me to himself all night long she wanted that quality time with me. I can even explain how much I appreciate all the things she did for me. I understand now how hard it was for them to spend time with me and get money. I remember that my first christmas in America I literally got nothing because my parents couldn't afford it, basically they couldn't afford anything. There was even a time where they both had to work full day shifts just to be able to pay the rent. My mom worked in everything she could find and everything she did, she did more than good. My mom had never worked a day in her life until she got to America. She did it because she couldn't bare to watch my dad kill himself at work and her do nothing. Though she may sometimes get annoyed by me, I always demonstrate affection towards her. She even gets mad sometimes but I don't care because she gets over it soon enough. • 7. My Hero : My Mother As A Hero Everybody has heard of a hero and needs a hero in their life. From Clark Kent really being Superman to Paul in the new movie "Downsizing", there are everyman heroes to superheroes. In my eyes, I see my mother as a hero. She's not just a hero to me. She's a hero to plenty of people in her life. She's my personal hero because of her journey. That would categorize her as an everyman hero because she's relatable to everyman and woman. To illustrate her heroic journey, I would have to start at the beginning. The beginning is before she had her stroke. Ten years ago, my brother was about to graduate high school and my mother was living a healthy, fulfilling life or so she thought. My mother was known for outdrinking the men and partying hard. She didn't allow being a mother prevent her from having a good time. She favored having so much of a good time that she neglected my brother and I. This was her ordinary world. Three months after my brother graduated, my mother had a terrible stroke. It was so terrible it left her right side entirely paralyzed. She found herself disabled, not able to speak, and having to learn how to do the basic motor skills all over again. It's as if someone pressed a reset button on her life. My mother was devastated as was I. As you may have guessed it, this was her call to adventure. And of course, like most people before her, she refused to adapt to a new way of living. No longer able to party, she had to rely on someone to care for her. For the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. My Two Main Reasons Why My Mom Is My Hero Somebody I care about is my mom. I care about her because she takes care of me when I am sick. She buys me the things I need. She is a great mom. The first reason I care about my mom is because she takes care of me when I am sick. I had my appendix taken out, and she would get me my drinks. She would bring me my food when I was hungry. She never left my side. She would not let me do anything for myself for a while. When I was supposed to start doing things, she still would not let me do much. When I was at the hospital I could not get out of bed or she would get mad at me. The second reason I care about my mom is she buys me what I need. This does not mean I always get what I want but I do get what I need. She buys my school supplies. She Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. My Mother Is A Hero : My Hero Hero As we grow up soaring through life, we hold on to our inspirations and motivators. A hero is someone that inspires me to do my best, someone that I can look up to and someone that truly understands me. My mom is my hero. She is my mentor, my rock and my support system. A mother's love is rare and wonderful; that nothing can replace the space she has in our hearts. She has been nothing but influential and the center of my universe. She never fails to force a smile on my face and inspire me to greatness. Here's every reason why our mom's are our heroes: She sacrifices her time for you.Perhaps there are times of frustration our moms go through, but give them a break. All they want is the very best for you. These women are professionals at multitasking. She juggles her problems, work and being there for your family at all times. So, give momma a nice pat on the back the next time she wakes up at 3 A.M. to listen to your problems. They're the people that will wake up before dawn to make us breakfast and go to sleep well past sunset just to make sure you're home and in bed safe. Even though they're tired, they still manage to go about the day with a smile on their face. She loves you unconditionally. No matter what we do, what mistakes we make, what we say, or how much we upset them, their love for us will never subside. It will always be unconditional. We live in a world where sometimes we don't realize how hurtful our words can be. Although she might take it to heart when you ask her to drop you off a block away from school, she is still going to love you when you get home. Let's face it, she puts up with your crap. No matter how big the fight or disagreement, you can always count on her to resolve the issue. Open your heart and drop the resentments because your mom would much rather hug it out and put it in the past. Her smile is contagious and you can't help but cave in when you see it. She's the most selfless person in your life. She thinks of you first, and only you. Day in and day out they give and don't stop giving. They constantly repeat their daily routines of going to work, carpooling to soccer games, prepping dinner, folding clothes and being an avid listener to their kids. • 10. Definition Essay On My Hero There are heroes all around us in life. People have many different views on what characteristics a hero must have. Personally, I feel that a hero is someone who has traits such as courage, selflessness, compassion, honesty, and patience. Anyone can choose whomever they want to be their hero. It could be a fictional character, a motivational speaker, or even a family member. My definition of a hero is a person who you look up to for having the moral and spiritual characteristics that I just mentioned. While there are many traits that I believe in, selflessness, compassion, and honesty, are the most important of all. In my life, my wonderful mother is truly my hero. She carries all these traits, especially the ones I find most important. My...show more content... Since I was so young I don't remember much of it. That being said, I have always had a split household, though I spent most of my time with my mother. My mother worked swing shift all through my life, but she still managed to always be there for me. While my mom worked a busy schedule, she remained selfless. I feel that my mother was very selfless because she would do anything and everything for me. I can recall from my very last year of high school that she would get off at eleven o'clock at night and she would be up with me again at six o'clock in the morning. She would insist on making my breakfast for me even though I would tell her that she could go back to bed. I knew very well that she was tired. She still stayed up and made my breakfast for me. Not only did she make my breakfast she would also pack my lunch for the day. While I looked at this as "really mom, I can pack my lunch." I had to take a step back and see the big picture. She was doing it because she wanted to, not because she had to. I am her only child and soon she wouldn't be doing this anymore. After looking at it that way I understood why she was doing all that, because she loves me. This shows my mom is selfless because she was putting me before herself. I was eighteen at the time so she knew that I could handle it, and she very well could have just stayed in bed but she Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. My Mother As A Hero Sitting on my mother's lap has always been the safest place for me. Although she beholds a lovely image, I imagine her as a fearless warrior ready and armed to attack anyone who dared to touch her child. I admired my mother's strength as I watched her work for tireless hours, but, furthermore, I admired her willingness to sacrifice resting time in order to be with my siblings and me. Although my mother did not have a warrior's armor consisting of a sword and shield, listening to her stories about Mexico, her love for my father, and their struggle in America, she became that fearless fighter who protected me and guided me through hardships. Unlike my mother, I was not fearless. I could not watch horror movies because I would not sleep for weeks. I could not stand in a pitch black room because I would search frantically for a ray of light. Many times I would awake terror stricken and call out for my mother, yet due to her night shifts she would not answer. I would spend entire nights looking at the ceiling, hoping for the sun to rise, and for my mother to show. These immense fears, which plagued my childhood, have been the ones to teach me that great courage is needed in life. I would force myself to be brave or to at least act brave. Not having my mother come to me every time I called for her, made me realize that I cannot depend on anybody to get me through obstacles, especially, if that obstacle is my own fear. Going through life I stuck to acting brave. When I once cried Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. My Mother, My Superhero Essay examples Growing up, we are all faced with images of Superheroes. Spiderman, Superman, and my personal favorite, Dash from the Incredibles. A superhero is described by Merriam–Webster's dictionary online as ": a fictional hero having extraordinary or superhuman powers; also : an exceptionally skillful or successful person". I can say that I have met a real life superwoman. She changed my life and taught me such an impactful message that I decided to share with you.. Born to a teen mother, this superhero in the making faced challenges from the day she was born. My mother experienced things that most of us only hear or read about. As a toddler she tragically encountered extreme levels of cruelty and various forms of physical and sexual abuse at the...show more content... This opened a door to a spiral of choices that included promiscuity, teenage pregnancy and dropping out of high school. (PAUSE) People always ask my mother, why on earth she dropped out of high school. She said that at the time, in her 17–year–old head, it made more sense to be at home protecting her daughter, than completing her education. Yes, the person I deem a superhero, my mother, got pregnant at the ripe age of 17, the same age I am now. My mom became pregnant during her junior year of high school. Not to brag, but, despite her choices, she was a very gifted student. My mom gave birth to my sister in 1987 after completing her junior year. Unfortunately, she dropped out of high school during her senior year and with the support of my grandmother, began to work different jobs to support my sister. I just want to share that at times, it seems that her decision not to complete school drives my mother the most. She is maniacal about young women completing their education and pursing advance degrees. She is especially passionate about her daughters, which of course includes me, completing their education. But that's fine, it's not like I have ever experienced any "pressure" to succeed. (LOL) After giving birth to my sister, my mother worked odd jobs for the next few years, and then she gave birth to me, her second daughter. I often hear that my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. My Hero Is My Mother Everyone has someone they look up to and want to be just like one day and everyone has different opinions and who a true hero is. My personal hero is my mother, Vitalia Quirch. My mom is my favorite person in the world because she is always there when I need her the most and I don't know where I would be today without her. She has blessed me with a great life and I am forever thankful for all she does for me. Nobody could ever compare to my mother. That was all until the day i walked out of wrestling with my arm bandaged and packs of cold ice taped to my shoulder. My mom stayed calm and collected while trying to ask me how I was feeling. She immediately took me to urgent care where we learned i had a fracture. I was devastated that my arm was going to be in a sling for months and that i would not be able to work out again. For a long time after my mom was there for me helping me with everything especially encouraging me to stay strong mentally and telling me that I would get past this set back. I could not have made it through this tough time if it was not for my mothers support. My mother is supportive of me but also many others. • 17. My Mother, My Hero Essay My Mother, My Hero In 1859 Henry Ward Beecher said, "the mother's heart is the child's schoolroom." I believe that statement because of experiences I've had with my own mother. I have learned more about life from her than from my 15 years of schooling. Over the last 20 years my mother has taught me many valuable lessons just by being a living example of compassion, thoughtfulness, and generosity. She is an angel that has protected and carried me throughout life. In the book, One Day My Soul Just Opened Up, Iyanla Vanzant said, "a truly compassionate person is one who can feel what you feel because they are one with you in mind, body, and spirit, not out of obligation or a false sense of responsibility. A compassionate person is...show more content... Besides being compassionate my mother is thoughtful. She stays at work late if someone needs help with theirs. She brings my grandmother dinner and runs errands for her. She is always putting others before herself. For instance, last year I began singing in the choir at Iowa State. It was really important to me because singing has always been a passion of mine. She drove to Ames for every single concert. It meant a lot to me to have her in the audience supporting me. This year I also started singing in the choir at my church. I was really excited and nervous about singing the first Sunday so few days before I was going to sing she gave me a beautiful necklace with a star pendant on it. I remember her warm hug and her telling me good luck and that I was 'her star'. It touched me that she took time out of her busy schedule to encourage and support things that she knew were important to me. She could have just wished me well and enjoyed her few minutes of spare time, but instead she put me first. The third aspect I admire in my mother is her generosity. She is always buying things for others. We aren't a rich family by any means, but she is always giving. Just a few weeks ago my mother's friend was talking about not being able to afford a new winter coat for her son. That night my mother went out and bought him one. Then about a month ago my mother heard about a woman who is a recovering drug addict. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. My Mom Is My Hero Everyone has someone they look up to, and everyone has a different hero. Some people's heros may be someone famous or someone in a book. My hero just happens to be my mother, Naomi Peterson. She raised me and continues to raise me into the person I am and the person I am becoming. She taught me from a very young age how to be a hard worker and to help others. For obvious reasons she is my idol and hero. When I think about the qualities of a hero, I think of someone who is courageous, loving, and selfless. My mom is all of these and more. When I was young and even today, I remember my mom doing things for others. She visited our neighbors, or cared for anyone who was sick or afflicted. She did it wonderfully and I'm so grateful for her example.I learned an important lesson from her about how to be selfless. When my mother was in fourth grade, she was playing tag at recess. Then one of the boys grabbed her hair and didn't let go. So my mother swung to make the boy let go, and they ended up getting in a fist fight. The kids at recess began to surround them and started yelling stuff. Somehow she got ahold of the boys hands, swung him around and let go just right so he slid down the hill that they were on. After that the boys never bugged her again. Even though my mother was shy, I think that is pretty courageous for a young girl. When she tells me that story she reminds me to have courage and stick up for yourself and for others. My mother lives 2,872 miles away from her parents. Every time we go to Hawaii it breaks my heart when she has to leave my grandparents. I admire my mother so much for being able to stay strong living so far away especially as they are getting so old. She has a tremendous amount of courage being able to adjust to a new culture in Idaho. My mom has raised five children, and I am the last one at home. "Perhaps it takes courage to raise children.." A true hero can mean different things to different people, however, to me, my mother, Thuan Nguyen, is my personal hero. She is my favorite person in whole the world because she is always there when I need her the most and without her, I am not sure where I would be. I am thankful for all she has done for me and nobody could ever compare to my mother. When people ask me what a hero is, I consider someone who is brave, strong, selfless, and hardworking– a person who can protect you and make your life better. My mom has all of these traits and is, therefore, my biggest hero. I consider my mother as a hero because not only she is physically strong, but also emotionally strong. This past July, my mother was told by the doctor that she needed to remove a gallstone. When I heard the news, bad thoughts started to run in my head, about how hard this was going to be and that the outcome could be bad, but then I realized to think about how strong she was and she overcame the pain. My mother always hides her pains and she is always positive. She never shows her pains in front of us. • 20. My Hero : My Mother Is A Hero In My Life Hero Hero. This word can have various meanings to people, ordinarily one of the first ideas that come to the mind of a few are superheroes like Batman or Spider Man, to others it may be someone who inspired them like a doctor, although for me a hero is someone who chose to take the appropriate action even when it is demanding and that person was my mother. With great determination she gave me a wonderful life as well as a welcoming home. Sacrifices were made such as opportunities and her health to make sure I had all my needs met. My mother was resilient, worked hard, and never surrendered; even when all odds were against her. I consider my mother to be my hero in my life seeing that she made all the right decisions as a mother even when it was grueling. Being a mother is one of the hardest jobs out in the world, however it is also one of the most rewarding jobs. Seeing my mother stressed out and exhausted was the norm for me when I was little, yet I knew she worked all day to put food on the table and give us a roof over our heads. Swollen knees from waitressing, my mother barely had time to play with me; but she always had a golden attitude despite all the challenges with legal issues and my poor health. Having a meal at McDonald's was a place my mother could watch me play and relax, therefor she wouldn't eat sometimes so that I could go out and have a meal. Waitressing was her job which she had to miss a lot as a result of me being ill frequently. Working in a restaurant was a suitable job with friendly tips and understanding of her situation with me being unwell constantly. She loved working with people, gave them an affable smile and attitude. As one of the most adept waitresses around in the waitressing industry, she endured and plowed through the day's work, even in sultry heat. Exhaustion was eminent on her face when she arrived home, picked me up from daycare, or school. I recall when her knees would swell up with fluid and sore feet, my mother worked through lots of injuries to make money. Her attitude remained upbeat even if she didn't have high energy. Apartments, shelters, and domestic violence shelters were our homes most of the time when my mother was a single parent. Admiration was my emotion Get more content on HelpWriting.net
