Figure out how can you replace some text in your copy with an idiom, quote, a saying… Few
days ago I told you to use a thesaurus, that’s also a great tool!
Example of a paragraph:
I’m sure you already know that getting this software is the quickest, easiest, and least
expensive method to know what your children are doing on the Internet!
You can then add: Plus it’s as easy as ABC to use!
Bookmark these websites, there are many more like these just use Google.
When using these similes or idioms don’t just pick one and throw it in the copy… try to find
something that will make sense with what you’re saying…
This is pretty basic stuff, very simple and easy to implement in any copy: salesletters, ads,
emails, facebook posts, tweets, blog posts, ppc ads that’s why… Copywriting is the #1
Skill for Internet Marketing!
Within 1-2 minutes you can find an appropriate simile or idiom to use in your copy, and
remember Practice makes perfect! I usually pick a website
say: http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/t.html and
they’re sorted alphabetically I might skim through the listings under T, try to find
something that “fits”, if I don’t find I try listings under b, etc… trust me with practice this
can be fun!
Now go and TRY IT!
