My research experience on waterbirds diversity and habitat assessment in the San Juan Bay Estuary, Puerto Rico, drives me to continue my doctoral degree in urban wetland ecology and management. In particular, I am interested in mathematically modeling ecosystem services provided by waterbirds. My research consist on studying the biochemical effects of migratory birds on coastal lakes ecosystems productivity. Likewise, for my dissertation project I am interested of using qualitative systematic analysis to evaluated citizen and students volunteers learning and perception of waterbirds ecosystem services.
