This magazine product uses and develops forms and conventions of real music magazines like Kerrang! by emulating their layout, style, and content. The title "Outrage" is similar to real titles. The front cover copies Kerrang!'s style of a large central image with additional photos. Inside photos are more dramatic like in real magazines. People featured look like they could be in music magazines. The title font and black color follow conventions. Interviews and text layout mimic real magazine styles. The rock/indie genre is suggested through the people and bands featured, targeting the right audience. The front cover and contents page take inspiration from real magazines to be appealing and cohesive.

1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

2. The title of the magazine I decided to use the title outrage because I thought that it suited the genre of the magazine well and also it look a lot like other existing magazine titles such as Kerrang! magazine.

3. Mise-en-scene of images Here I have placed my front cover next to an original cover. I used this as inspiration because I thought that the picture was really eye catching. So with my magazine I tried to emulate this by having a main image and using the style of Kerrang! to help structure my magazine.

4. Costumes and props. In terms of props and costumes I tried to wear clothes that looked simple but would stand out on camera. Also I decided to take my double spread pictures at a skate park because I thought that on other existing magazines the inside pictures where usually a lot more dramatic than the cover image.

5. People When choosing the people for my magazine I decided to choose people that I thought looked indie/rock and look like people that would be in existing music magazines.

6. Title, font and style This is the title of my magazine alongside the title Kerrang! I chose this font style because I thought that it worked well and stood out on my cover. I chose to keep it in black because I look at existing magazines and noticed that most of their titles were kept in black.

7. Written content I decided to use and interview for my double page spread as I thought would be the easiest thing for me to do. I decided to lay my text out like this because I have seen it used before in existing magazines.

8. Music genre and how your magazine suggests it The genre of my magazine is rock/indie. I think I did this well because I made sure that the people I chose in my magazine looked like this so that it fitted into the genre category well. Also so that my magazine targets the right people I have put a banner along with bands in that I think would attract the people I want to read my magazine.

9. Layout For the layout of my front cover I used inspiration from Kerrang magazine because I thought the layout of the cover was really striking. Also I thought that that all the pictures interlocked with each other well.

10. Contents Page For my contents page I used inspiration from Q magazine because I thought that the colours worked well and they were similar to the ones on my front cover. Also I thought that it would appeal to the genre of people I wanted to read my magazine.
