The solar system consists of the Sun and everything that orbits around it, including the eight planets, comets, asteroids, and other objects. The inner planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars. The outer planets are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Each planet has unique characteristics such as volcanic activity on Venus, water on Earth, and large moons around Jupiter. Comets are made of ice and dust that orbit the Sun and the asteroid belt is located between Mars and Jupiter.
