I. Objectives/Competencies:
At the end of the session, the pupils will be able to:
a. recognize the different land features of the earth;
b. describe the different land features; and
c. manifest awareness to God’s creation.
II. Enduring Understanding
Earth’s surface plays an important role to the lives to every living. Without it,
there will be no shelter or space to live in, no plants will grow and other
animals living in the land won’t be able to survive.

What makes Earth’s features important?

a.) Opening Prayer
b.) Preliminaries:
The teacher will present the objectives of the lesson.
Reminders about the rules.
c.) Motivation: The teacher will show picture of river that has environmental
issue like water pollution.
What have you observed?
Why is it important to clean our river?
Aside from having diseases and pollution. Why do you think is it
important of Earth features?
d.) Pre-assessment: The pupils will be given a meta-card.
What are the other features that you know?
2. e.) Presentation of the Lesson: (15 minutes)
Knowing Station Activity! Based on their responsible team, each group
will describe the assign landforms and will answer the guide
questions. Once they are done, pupils will do the Gallery Walk.
Station 1: Mountain and Valley
Guide Questions:
o Describe Mountain and Valley based on its appearance.
o What do you think is the shape of the mountain? How about
the Valley?
o Which of the following is the tallest? Is it the Mountain or the
Valley? Why?
Station 2: Plain and Plateau
Guide Questions:
o Describe Plain and Plateau based on its appearance.
o What will you say to Plain landforms’ surface? Is it flat or
not? How about the Plateau’s landform?
o What do you think is the difference between the two?
Station 3: Lake and River
Guide Questions:
o Describe Lake and River based on its appearance.
o Does the Lake surround by land? How about the River?
o What do you think is the difference between the two?
Station 4: Peninsula and Island
Guide Questions:
o Describe Peninsula and Island based on its appearance.
o Which of the two completely surrounded by water?
o Compare Peninsula from Island. What do you think the
difference?
Station 5: Canyon and Coast
Guide Questions:
o Describe Canyon and Coast based on its appearance.
o Choose 1 landform that you can compare canyon. Why?
How about Coast?
3. 1. At the end of the Gallery Walk, each group are requested to paste all
their answers on the blackboard. They will also be given a chance to
evaluate or add something to their classmates’ answer.
2. Meanwhile, the teacher will just add some information if pupils missed
something about the topic.
f.) Drills: Quick Flash- Pupils will identify the different land feature based on
the picture shown.
g.) Closure: “The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else
will save earth”
