mnRAJU
Think Positive -Be Grateful
Arthur Ashe and An Explanation of Life
Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player was dying of AIDS which he got
due to infected blood he received during a heart surgery in 1983.
From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed:
“Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease”?
To this, Arthur Ashe replied:
“The world over — 50 million children start playing tennis, 5 million learn to
play tennis,
500,000 learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5000 reach the
grand slam,
50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to semi final, 2 to the finals,
when I was holding a cup I never asked GOD ‘Why me?’.
And today in pain I should not be asking GOD ‘Why me?’

mnRAJU
Attitude Matters
Attitude matters: Are you carrying bricks or building a temple? No job is small.
See the bigger gifts of life: Child lost is restored, but sandal is missing.
Patience: Every time the flight is late, “fantastic”. Create a positive energy field.
Perseverance: Honda pistons for Toyota cars refused. Earthquake & nuclear bomb do
not deter.
Jealousy: Whatever you get, your neighbor will get twice. Make me blind in one eye.
Lie and punishment: Four students come late for the exam and plead tyre punctured.
If you are gullible, you will be cheated: Buy parrot, stone, mirror, swing and forget
feeding it.
Time management: Distractions like cricket – lose comments - how many sixes have
you missed in life.
Little acts make a difference: Octopus. What a little lamp can do, the sun cannot.

Tips to Improve Your Life
1. Personality:
1. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about
2. Dream more while you are awake
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others
4. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present
5. No one is in charge of your happiness except you
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
2. Community:

2. Give something good to others every day
3. Spend time with people over 60 & under 6
4. Try to make at least one person smile each day
5. Your job will not take care of you when you are sick. Your family and friends will.
3. Life:
1. However good or bad a situation is, it will change

To this, Arthur Ashe replied: “The world over — 50 million children start playing tennis, 5 million learn to play tennis, 500,000 learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5000 reach the grand slam, 50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to semi final, 2 to the finals, when I was holding a cup I never asked GOD ‘Why me?’. And today in pain I should not be asking GOD ‘Why me?’ mnRAJU

Patience: Every time the flight is late, “fantastic”. Create a positive energy field. Perseverance: Honda pistons for Toyota cars refused. Earthquake & nuclear bomb do not deter. Jealousy: Whatever you get, your neighbor will get twice. Make me blind in one eye. Lie and punishment: Four students come late for the exam and plead tyre punctured. If you are gullible, you will be cheated: Buy parrot, stone, mirror, swing and forget feeding it. Time management: Distractions like cricket – lose comments - how many sixes have you missed in life. 6. a group of working adults got together to visit their university lecturer. the lecturer was happy to see them. conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.the lecturer just smiled and went to the kitchen to get an assortment of cups - some porcelain, some in plastic, some in glass, some plain looking and some looked rather expensive and exquisite.the lecturer offered his former students the cups to get drinks for themselves.when all the students had a cup in hand with water, the lecturer spoke: "if you noticed, all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. while it is normal that you only want the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. what all you wanted was water, not the cup, but we unconsciously went for the better cups.""just like in life, if life is water, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. they are just tools to hold/maintain life, but the quality of life doesn't change.""if we only concentrate on the cup, we won't have time to enjoy/taste the water in it."
  7. As Albert Einstein said: "That is the way to learn the most, that when you are doing something with such enjoyment that you don't notice that the time passes." Sadly if you have ever followed a student around for the day in school you will realise for young people it's incredibly dull and boring. At a time of life that you are quite literally full of life. Using a bit of imagination – cellotape, cereal boxes, water, sticks, paper and each other can transform your lessons. Enjoyment and learning can be hard to get right, but if you can do this your students will appreciate you.
  8. “A smile costs nothing, but creates much. It enriches those who receive, without impoverishing those who give. It happens in a flash and the memory of it sometimes lasts forever.” - Dale Carnegie Once upon a time all feelings and emotions went to a coastal island for a vacation. According to their nature, each was having a good time. Suddenly, a warning of an impending storm was announced and everyone was advised to evacuate the island. The announcement caused sudden panic. All rushed to their boats. Even damaged boats were quickly repaired and commissioned for duty. Yet, Love did not wish to flee quickly. There was so much to do. But as the clouds darkened, Love realized it was time to leave. Alas, there were no boats to spare. Love looked around with hope. Just then Prosperity passed by in a luxurious boat. Love shouted, “Prosperity, could you please take me in your boat?” “No,” replied Prosperity, “my boat is full of precious possessions, gold and silver. There is no place for you.” A little later Vanity came by in a beautiful boat. Again Love shouted, “Could you help me, Vanity? I am stranded and need a lift. Please take me with you.” Vanity responded haughtily, “No, I cannot take you with me. My boat will get soiled with your muddy feet.” Sorrow passed by after some time. Again, Love asked for help. But it was to no avail. “No, I cannot take you with me. I am so sad. I want to be by myself.” When Happiness passed by a few minutes later, Love again called for help. But Happiness was so happy that it did not look around, hardly concerned about anyone. Love was growing restless and dejected. Just then somebody called out, “Come Love, I will take you with me.” Love did not know who was being so magnanimous, but jumped on to the boat, greatly relieved that she would reach a safe place. On getting off the boat, Love met Knowledge. Puzzled, Love inquired, “Knowledge, do you know who so generously gave me a lift just when no one else wished to help?” Knowledge smiled, “Oh, that was Time.” “And why would Time stop to pick me and take me to safety?” Love wondered. Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and replied, “Because only Time knows your true greatness and what you are capable of. Only Love can bring peace and great happiness in this world.”  Moral: “The important message is that when we are prosperous, we overlook love. When we feel important, we forget love. Even in happiness and sorrow we forget love. Only with time do we realize the importance of love. Why wait that long? Why not make love a part of your life today?”
  9. A young lady looked in the mirror one morning. She had three remaining hairs on her head, and being a positive soul, she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today.“ So she braided her three hairs, and she had a great day. Some days later, looking in the mirror one morning, she saw that she had only two hairs remaining. "Hmm, two hairs... I fancy a centre parting today." She duly parted her two hairs, and as ever, she had a great day. A week or so later, she saw that she had just one hair left on her head. "One hair huh...," she mused, "I know a pony-tail will be perfect." And again she had a great day. The next morning she looked in the mirror. She was completely bald. “ Finally bald huh," she said to herself, "How wonderful! I won't have to waste time doing my hair any more.” It is important for us to always think positive. one day a construction supervisor from 6th floor of building was calling a worker working on the ground floor. because of construction noise, the worker on ground floor did not hear his supervisor calling. then, to draw the attention of worker, the supervisor threw a 10 rupee note from up, which fell right in front of the worker. the worker picked up the 10 rupee note, put it in his pocket & continued with his work. again to draw the attention of worker, the supervisor now threw a 500 rupee note & the worker did the same, picked up the 500 rupee note, put it in his pocket & started doing his job. now to draw attention of the worker, the supervisor picked a small stone & threw it on worker. the stone hit exactly the worker on his head. this time the worker looked up & the supervisor communicated with the worker. this story is same as of our life. lord from up, wants to communicate with us, but we are busy doing our worldly jobs. then god give us small gifts & we just keep it without seeing from where we got it. then god gives us amounts (gifts) & we are the same. we just keep the gifts without seeing from where it came and & not even thanking god. we just say we are lucky. then when we are hit with a small stone, which we call 'problems', and then we look up & we communicate with god. so every time we get a gift, we should thank god immediately, and not wait till we are hit by a small stone, and then communicate with god....
  10.  In life we keep complaining about what is or why we don't have. Half the time we seem dissatisfied, though full-bodied and free to choose. Fat people say,"I want to be slim." Skinny people say,"I want to be fatter." If a person is not married, then there would be complaint of not getting married and if the person is married then there would be complaint about spouse. If a person is unemployed, there would be complaint about not getting employment, and if a person gets employment then there would be complaint about not getting promotion or other silly issues. Poor people want to be rich and rich are never satisfied with what they have.   Complaining is against nature. But complaining is due to high degree of ignorance. Always be grateful to nature for whatever you have rather than complaining about what you dont have.  Life Is a Gift Today before you say an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak. Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat. Today before you complain about life - Think of someone who went too early to heaven. Before whining about the distance you drive - Think of someone who walks the same distance with his feet. And when you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job. And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face and think: you're alive and still around. NEVER COMPLAINT, NEVER RIDICULE OTHERS
