The Ship Set Sail

It was a dark and stormy night..... not really, but the best
adventures start that way.

Sometimes we find things we didn't expect on the open
seas and with the wind in our hair, that's when the best
solutions to come to us. Step out, you are now a pirate.

With six very different environments, came six very
different insights.
Three Views

Three distinct views surfaced:

The barn; warm, cuddly and want to stay tucked

The disco; bright, you get in, experience, get out

The neutral; death by vanilla, feel nothing
Wicked, It says it all
Wicked is Coffee. Humour.      Warm..     Low Hum.       People Tuck In..


The floors, the walls everything screamed cocooning. There were lots of great mixed spaces but the
real opportunity lay at the front. People were buying coffee but not much else.


I would take the space beside the display and pair down, only carrying things that could link back to
the name and a food match. Evil brownies, Underground muffins, Sinful Cupcakes.


Finally turn the big centre table into a neighbourhood game night a few times a week, where you can
meet your community and share big ideas.
A is For apple
|Electric.   Welcoming     Rock Star.     Inspiring People.   Learning and Connecting.|




My big aha in a place all about demos and experience, is an area to cater to youngsters 4 to 10.
This age range has many apple products but none of the accessories or products are at eye level for them to do
trials.
Also weekend specialty classes on the biggest questions they tend to have. It's Home Depot without the
birdhouses.
This wines for you
Rich.    Comfortable.       Fun.      Knowledgeable.        Traveller.     Lean Out.




With so much room and inspiration they are really missing the boat by not installing a full cooking facility to do
cooking demos that could be tied to wine pairings. The opportunity to invite local celebrity chefs would present a
natural extension that is full of excitement.


The other focal point is the cashiers where there are last minute chocolates but no other appetizer or specialty
food items that would enhance the wine experience.. Eat , Drink and be Merry.
Bring on the shoes
Love shoes.      Bargain shop.      They're young, It's bright.   Opportunity before the door.




What if you could stop and have your shoe size checked and at the same time see a quick video of the
latest shoe trends and the colour coded categories within so you can more easily spot them in an
environment that is visually busy.


The other possibility could be a collaboration with a closet organizing company so you have more room
for the shoes and accessories you love. Maybe weekend in store sessions with quick tips on how you
can make the most of the closet you have.

Roger's Chocolates.
 Outside Fun,        No Surprise.        Smells like Willy Wonka without the Golden Ticket..
. I think there is an opportunity to use their history to set up an old fashioned soda bar that would
make people want to come and experience the fun side of who they are.




   Lucky Brand Outlet
   No Luck , No Sound, No feeling. They need to infuse their western style into something fun in the
   store, so I'm suggesting a mechanical bull at the back where the sale clothes are.
