For each hazard, list the measures y ou will be taking to minimise the risk identif ied
e.g. appointing competent persons, training received, planning and rehearsals, use of personal protective
equipment, provision of first aid, etc.

are in place
Cold Environment Cast, Camera Crew Likely, Negligible There is footage that needs to be shot at Northumbria University School of Design, therefore
the crew willhave to travelthere from Sunderland and because of the time of year there is a
chance of cold w eather. The crew willbe informed to dress appropriately to the cold
conditions and w illbe travelling using public transport so there is little amount of time to be
spent outside in the cold temperatures. The crew willalso be mostly situated inside to avoid
the low temperatures outside.
Possible,
Negligible
Manual Handling
Cast, Camera Crew Possible, Slight The crew willbe travelling to Northumbria University Schoolof Design w ith the equipment
needed to film the footage there so they w illbe handling it for long periods of the time
including set up to film. This puts them at risk of hurting themselves how ever care willbe
taken to ensure this doesn’t happen by being cautious w hen assembling the equipment and
taking turns carrying it to w here the scene is being shot.
Unlikely, Slight
Trip Hazard
Cast, Camera Crew Possible, Slight When filming at Northumbria University School of Design, the room w e willbe using may be
quite crow dedwith equipment. To ensure this doesn’t cause any tripping hazards, we will
move things w e don’t need out of the w ay and take care w hen moving around the room. The
crew willalso have a run through of the scene to ensure they know w here they can stand and
w here they must avoid.
Unlikely, Slight
Physical Fatigue Cast, Camera Crew Possible, Slight Shooting at Northumbria University Schoolof Design w as only in the time period of an hour to
ensure that none of the crew were having to go through long shifts of shooting that could
make them too tired. There w illalso be break times to make sure that none of the crew are
w orking for long periods of time.
Very Unlikely,
Negligible
Stress / Anxiety
Nuisance Noise / Vibration
Cast, Camera Crew
Cast, Camera Crew
Possible, Slight
Likely, Moderate
The crew may have some stress and anxiety about the deadline, getting to the place w e’re
shooting and making sure w e get the footage etc. Special care w illbe taken to ensure
everyone has as little stress and anxiety as possible, the crew willtravelto Northumbria
University Schoolof Design together and w e w illhave multiple run throughs of the scene so
that w e can make sure everything is running smoothly. There w illalso be breaks so that the
crew ’smind isn’t constantly focused on the footage w eare obtaining.
Due to the never having visited the place w e are shooting; the crew willbe unaw are of how
noisy it w illbe w hen we are shooting the scene. Noise could cause problems w ith the footage
w e gather as it could be overpowering the cast talking and lead to problems in post-
production due to the fact w e won’t have the footage we need. To avoid this issue, w e will
pause filming w hen there is noise distribution and if w e must, move to a different place in
Northumbria University Schoolof Design to gather our footage.
Unlikely, Negligible
Possible, Slight
