This project developed a smart wireless sensor network using Zigbee technology to monitor various agricultural factors like temperature, humidity, water levels, pH and fertilizer levels. Sensors were deployed to detect low water levels and send data wirelessly to a central server. This allows irrigation to targeted areas and conserves water and power. Additional sensors provide information on climate, soil acidity and temperature to help farmers optimize fertilizer use and irrigation scheduling. The system aims to minimize problems like water logging and over-fertilization through remote monitoring of the crop field environment.
